The facilities within this resort are great for families, the service doesn’t quite match up. We stayed in a garden suite with infinity pool and all of the family (17 months, 4 years plus me and the wife) loved the room. It was spacious and could easily accommodate the four of us, though the cot provided did raise a few eyebrows on arrival. Our baby son could have climbed out had he put his mind to it, so we had to reposition the cot between two walls, our bed, and then lay out cushions on the floor of the remaining open side just in case. Tiredness from all the swimming however meant no escape artistry was attempted. We checked out yesterday and our stay overlapped with a heatwave with temperatures reaching 40c. Our rooms pool was part shaded throughout the day which was essential for our two young children. This meant we could enjoy our stay even when some other parts of the resort were experiencing very high temperatures. The beach is great with ample umbrellas, sun loungers and towels. The array and choice of pools is perfect for young children, with lagoon pools, splash parks and maximum depths of 120cm the norm. The one downside is the current gap between young children who can enjoy the splash park and those older children taller than 120cm who are permitted to use the water slides. Our eldest 4 year old son is 117cm in height, can freely swim 5-10m unaided and could not use these slides. Riding on laps is strictly prohibited. We have no complaints of this, but 4-6 year olds are currently not catered for in this area. Two new intermediate slides were under construction during our stay however, and the state of the build suggested these might be in service by August. We were half-board with the knowledge that our evening meals might be rushed. Due to this we stayed local to the Morias restaurant and buffet. The food was good but often lacking in authenticity. It was fresh, plentiful etc. but not Greek enough for our tastes. The nights were instead themed, with some more successful than others. Having to pay for table water when staying half-board felt a tad cheap too. We clearly liked the resort, but service was an issue. The mini-bar and coffee in our room was only replenished twice across the week. Management confirmed after check-out that this should have been a daily occurrence. We also raised some questions with management surrounding breakfast service levels we experienced. On three occasions we waited more than 30 minutes for steamed milk to be delivered for our son. Each instance we chased the service staff multiple times for this simple order. These delays meant we had finished our breakfast when the milk finally arrived. Management were apologetic about such service and comped us a plate of fruit and a couple of frozen cappuccinos. Whilst appreciated this didn’t address the failings we experienced. There is lots to love about The Westin Costa Navarino. With a few tweaks and some staff training, we would probably score the r
