This hotel has many good points, it’s in an excellent position in Marbella, an easy walk to the old town and right on the beach, lovely pool area with excellent sun loungers and an adequate gym. But there are too many points that need improving, not least the fact we could not control the temperate in our room which blew warm air our entire stay! I complained 3 times to no avail, being told to open my balcony door, turn the air con off (it wouldn’t turn off) or that the air con was coming on cooler that day (it didn’t) I complained again on check out and there wasn’t even an offer of a reduced rate or an apology which made me think it was a common complaint… and was disappointing . Our room on our second night reached 26 degrees! It meant I didn’t sleep for our entire 3 night stay which meant I’ve returned home pretty exhausted! The weather wasn’t great while we were there which meant that the spa was constantly booked out.. which meant we never got a chance to use it despite a visit being included in our chosen room rate… again no offer of a refund. Breakfast as others have mentioned is a little chaotic and is very busy at peak times which means that the service then slips, long wait for a table and Mr H ordered a cheese and tomato omelette and got cheese and ham, thankfully he’s not vegetarian! The selection at breakfast is great but you feel rushed in those busy periods and often got jostled by other guests meaning it was not a relaxing experience, I think expanding the breakfast area to their downstairs and offering just continental here would solve the problem. The rooms are lovely and beds comfortable.. just too warm! Well stocked mini bar and replenished water each night. The staff I found very charming and respectful but just didn’t have the customer service experience to deal with my complaints. Such a pity as it could be great!
