The Hotel Marblehead

The Hotel Marblehead will be my go-to. The service is friendly and helpful, the bed and pillows extremely comfortable, and the water pressure(my personal Achilles heel) was perfect!

Wonderfully clean and convenient, very friendly staff. Two things could improve, the pillows and the water pressure in the shower. Neither is a dealbreaker, but I think the property would be perfect if both were improved upon.

To begin, the customer service pre-booking is top notch. Responsive replies and information regarding how to access for a later check-in; follow-ups day of arrival to make sure info was given. The location is superb in that it is off a main road, and just a few minutes/miles to everything. The maids did a great job - bed was clean and nicely presented. Breakfast was cut fruits, coffee, and boiled eggs available on a side table - a perfect quick start to a day. However, room #6 needs some help: - the carpets were in dire need of cleaning, and many stains were apparent. - the bathroom towel rack was literally taped to the wall with white electrical tape. - the in wall air conditioner was quite loud - and each time it cycled on it was disruptive to sleep. - curtains that curtailed the light need to be installed on the window on the side of the home as this is where sunlight comes streaming in. This is very helpful if you neglect to set your alarm for a 6:03 sunrise as the sun does and will shine in the very sheer curtain. Due to arriving late, and not feeling that sharing this info was "an emergency", I did send a text to the "text representative" the next morning due to the fact that when I was leaving, there was no one in attendance to share the info with. No response. To improve: See the "needs some help" list. Respond to all texts.

WHAT A FIND! I needed a place to stay for just one night while visiting in Marblehead. Everyone was so accommodating allowing me early check in and late check out to fit around my schedule. The inn is lovely, the rooms so up to date, and the bed was so comfortable! I didn’t have the opportunity to enjoy their complimentary breakfast, but it looked scrumptious! Definitely worth staying at the Hotel Marblehead!

This boutique hotel is a real gem. It is very clean, the pillows are great (big plus for me), the front desk staff is very friendly and welcoming. The fresh breakfast was fantastic! It included fresh fruit salad, two types of homemade muffins, yogurt, granola, and delicious coffee. Everything was delicious! The king suite is nicely decorated and comfortable. The bathroom is roomy and clean and includes everything you need. Big plus for the walk-in shower. There is a beautiful gathering area that includes a fireplace and comfortable seating. Many people took advantage of this space. The only reason I didn’t give this hotel five stars was because it is noisy. In an old home like this one, it would be quite difficult to make it otherwise and both nights we were there groups were up too late in the evening in the gathering area for our liking. I will definitely stay there again.

Although obvious attempts have been made to update this property, it remains an old Victorian with some issues. Water running above our room was very loud. The tub in our bath was an old jetted model that had seen better days. There should be grab bars for entering and exiting the tub. The room was bare-bones. Utilitarian for sure, but no attempt at luxury. The breakfast was a pleasant surprise with fresh fruit and homemade blueberry bread. The young man at the desk in the morning was not friendly at all. He was rather sullen, but did perk up a bit when we left. We are former Marblehead residents and this was our first hotel stay in the town. We would probably try somewhere else next time, but if this was all that was available, it would do.

Boutique hotel wrapped in a 1871 Victorian home. Tastefully appointed with modern furniture and nautical accents. Steps from The Mariner (great for visiting relatives). Within driving distance to the Old Towne and coast. Light breakfast included. Delicious coffee.

We really enjoyed our stay here. It has a lot of character but is beautifully renovated and exceptionally clean. Breakfast and hospitality were excellent. We live nearby and just stayed to get away from home reno but won’t hesitate to recommend to others!

Cute place, room was a good size, staff was helpful. Breakfast in the morning was fresh.
