The Hotel Marblehead

Location was great. Room was super comfortable and nice. Due to a tour of Fenway and Sox game. Debbie told us to come get the key early and enjoy the day. Front desk staff (Ash) was super nice and sweet. Definitely will look to come back to Marblehead.

We were in town for a series of family events. We needed a quiet comfortable hotel that was close to everything. And The Hotel Marblehead was just that. Simple, clean and accessible. We will certainly be back.

Not very impressive. First we were charged 1/2 when booked our room and then we were charged full price when checked in. And they haven’t communicated with us or been helpful about returning the overpayment. When we arrived sometime after 3:30 and asked about our room we were told rooms were not ready and guaranteed for four o’clock. As we were the only car there and they didn’t ask our name not sure how they knew our room wasn’t ready. We were told we could wait in the lobby. Adding in the room was stuffy and though the website says rooms have has AC there wasn’t any in our room. There was no water in the self serve coffee machine….really not impressed!

We thoroughly enjoyed our two night stay at this lovely bed & breakfast! One day easy rail from Salem into Boston to walk the Freedom Trail. Second day spent touring Salem (mid-week) allowed us to avoid the crowds. Comfortable bed and clean room with Roku access to enjoy some TV unwind time on a rainy morning. Welcoming staff and delicious healthy choice foods for breakfast.

What a greatnplace to stay. Friendly, convenient, quiet and unique. Very accommodating. Central to activities in the area.

I stayed a couple of nights midweek in late March during my first visit to Marblehead. The hotel's location was convenient for taking walks in the beautiful historic town as well as for driving to other towns in the area. The managers advised me that there isn't a major grocery store in town and told me where I could find one in neighboring Swampscott. I did find a great liquor store in Marblehead where the proprietor had an extensive knowledge of wine. Everything in the hotel was very clean, and my room had large windows with shades, a comfortable bed, a nice bathroom, Roku TV, and a small refrigerator (there's a microwave in the dining room). Debbie (manager) suggested that I drive up to Rockport, which I found to be very welcoming and full of interesting shops, etc. I met a local man walking his dog on the beach and he gave me a lot of info for when I visit again in the future. Overall, this intimate hotel was a wonderful place to stay in a gorgeous seaside setting.

Loved the ambience, the quietude, the plethora of books in our room, the landscaping and the breakfast that consisted of actual fruit, yoghurt and pastries. Responsive and friendly staff. Would very definitely recommend. A fine, old New England Villa.

Room was very quaint. Great bathroom, water pressure in all the shower was great Very friendly host. Small breakfast is above and beyond
