Stayed in the hotel for one night. Parking was free. My company had booked so checking in was very quick, there was a friendly, young woman at reception. Breakfast 7am - 9:30am. Got a nice, small room. Very clean and cozy with a shower and TV. The mattress was comfortable and I slept well and peacefully, everything was on the ground floor, so wheelchair accessible. The breakfast buffet (11 € extra) was very well stocked and left nothing to be desired. And yes, the hotel is in an industrial area, which also means that it is quiet at night.

Staff friendly. Everything very clean. Enough parking spaces. South train station can be reached in a few minutes on foot, so there is also a convenient connection to public transport into the center - saves parking fees. Rooms are of the usual standard. The waterbed was great! Breakfast: good selection. Particularly worth mentioning: small but nice sauna area, bathrobe/sauna towel can be borrowed free of charge. Overall: very good for 3 stars. Would gladly stay again.

Response from Property: Dear Contilia, thank you for taking the time to leave a review. We are delighted that you would like to stay with us again. Your feedback is very important to us, thank you. For planning purposes: from the South Station, lines 1, 2, 4 and 7 take you to the city center in around 10 minutes, and you can also get guest tickets for the buses at reception. If you have arrived by car, you can leave it with us free of charge, and a charging station is also available. Your team from the Hotel im Kornspeicher, Guest Relations.

We booked through ***********. We brought our very small dog. There was a sentence in the description saying that pets were allowed and that a fee might apply. After we booked - cancellation was not possible - we called and were told that the fee for a dog is €15 per night! We have stayed in many hotels and have never seen such an extra charge for a dog of this size! When we stated how small the dog was we were told "that's the price, no exceptions, and the dog is not allowed in the breakfast room. The hotel is on the 3rd and 4th floors of a cheaply built stucco eyesore very far from the center in the middle of an industrial area with no charm whatsoever, accessible by a 20-25 minute bus ride from the main train station and then 1/2 kilometer walk. The reception was manned by a grumpy woman who, upon our arrival and seeing the dog, wasted no time in warning us that the dog was not allowed in the breakfast room. When I expressed my displeasure at the exorbitant pet surcharge, she repeated the mantra: that's the price. She said the amount was listed in *********** and when I showed her that this was not true she shrugged her shoulders and repeated the mantra. At that moment a male voice came from an office behind the reception saying that the amount was listed in ***********. When I said that this was in fact not the case. He stared into his computer screen, refusing to look me in the eye or answer me. I kid you not. The aforementioned charming receptionist then announced that breakfast is served from 8am to 11am, the dog is not allowed in the breakfast room (yes, again) and that we must choose an exact time we want breakfast and be on time. The room, accessed through a bright blue-lit hallway covered in stained nylon carpet, is basic budget crap quality with no minibar or fridge, no balcony, a tiny TV, a tiny faux-formica closet and plastic floors. I will never stay at this hotel again, although we plan to return to Marburg regularly over the next few years.
