The most amazing part about this place is Saundra, the property manager. Attentive and responsive, despite having a highly demanding job outside of keeping up the Cedar, it was a great pleasure getting to know her a little.
The next amazing part is that it is literally right across the street from a couple of park benches to sit at and watch the sun rise over Sandusky Bay. About a 10 minute walk and the view opens up even more. That part was very restful.
This is not by any means a luxury accommodation, but for someone who raised a large family and did a lot of camping, it was more than adequate. Newer wood-grain laminate flooring makes me feel better that there is something weird like in a carpeted room, the beds were "ok", bathroom small but lots of abundant hot water. A fridge meant being able to keep our drinks cold overnight to help them stay that way in the cooler the next day. No "continental breakfast" but lots of snack goodies available in the office, and a wonderful restaurant right next door for dinner makes it a nice little getaway.
Only bad thing was the neighbors fighting in the room next door and then being loud off and on all night. Not so good, but since I don't sleep well anyway, not a big deal for me lol.
Bring earbuds and your own pillow and it's just about perfect.
