Margaretville Mountain Inn B&B

Very cozy and clean. Nice breakfast~

We were in town for business for only one night at Margaretville Mountain Inn. We slept very well in our cozy “Oak” room. Breakfast by Erica was delicious with French toast, crispy bacon, plenty of coffee, and banana bread. We enjoyed our chat with Erica. A beautiful table was set in the formal dining room. We are definitely old house folks and enjoyed our stay.

Arrived and discovered that we were not booked at the B&B but in town. The breakfast would be cold cereal and a pastry. When I objected moved us to B&B. Room had a king size bed which took up pretty much the whole room which was quite shabby. The public room was small. For breakfast choice of eggs or French toast. The eggs, small, served with one slice of bread. Nice homemade cake also served. Very comfortable wrap around porch. All in all I would rate this B&B inferior.

We had a huge emergency surrounding closing on our home, and the team here turned a very difficult, stressful situation into a seamless experience, where we could rest after a couple of particularly stressful days. They are the loveliest people, we were in the village sweets, and look forward to staying in the end at some point. Highly recommend!

Very old, cold and dark. Rooms looked much better and more spacious in photos than in person. Not much privacy as the bathroom was separate from our room across the hall. We could hear the guests upstairs walking and flushing the toilet, coughing, which made it very hard to sleep. Not what we expected but it was our first time at a B&B.

Quiet, clean, friendly. Nice breakfast . The parlor, tv room was a bit retro funky but all the other spaces were elegant period rooms

We had a lovely stay! My boyfriends family was staying here- we were to stay someplace else- luckily they had a room available! It was lovely ! Gorgeous location , clean, and lovely breakfast made to order! Would definitely recommend and will stay again if we come back! Comfy bed too!

Needs a lot of TLC , (very old and rusty) and better service, We could not stay. Not how it looks online, very old towels, etc. Pictures are deceiving online vs the reality. We were very excited with the trip, but very disappointed when we got there. « Breakfast included » in the apartment (2nd location) was just a basket with some coffee, some store donuts and raising brand cereal! Note: they were good at refunding us.

My husband and I ski every Jan thru March at Belleayre Mt. We plan on staying at the Margaretville Mt Inn every Mon thru Wed night each week. We divide our time between Belleayre and Gore Mt so are not there every week. We have done this for more than 10 years. There is no place else we would rather stay. We love Carole, the owner and Inn Keeper. She sets a lovely breakfast table and provides us with a cooked breakfast of our choice. She always bakes something special. We love the old Victorian style and décor. We have always enjoyed visiting in the cozy common area or at breakfast with the other guests of the Inn. Because we come only during midweek times, we often bring our own easily heated dinner. Carole provides a frig, microwave, coffee pot and paper plates and utensils for those that wish to do as we do. It is a bit difficult to find restaurants that are open during the mid-week time slot. The skiing is wonderful at Belleayre. They do an excellent job of making snow and of grooming their trails. We will continue our long time practice of enjoying our time off the slopes at the Margaretville Mountain Inn. We consider this our home away from home. Thank you, Carole, Bart and Marilyn Bisgrove
