Clean, comfortable, great view, friendly helpful staff.

Standard rooms a little small but appreciated the large bathroom with full bath and overhead shower set up. Beautiful decor and excellent food.

Quirky hotel in a convenient location. Stayed here for one night, while attending concert at Dreamland. Haven't been to Margate for a few years and there aren't that many decent hotels. This hotel has obviously had a stylish makeover, so it was a nice place to stay in a seaside town that has clearly seen better days. The staff were friendly, the hotel was clean and the bed was comfortable. But it was quite expensive and breakfast was extra. Aircon was a nice touch and Wi-Fi was good, but bizarrely there was no TV in the room. Sound insulation wasn't great so could hear people in the adjoining room talking. Also as another reviewer has mentioned, there was an odd buzzing and droning sound when trying to sleep. Mentioned to staff next morning who didn't seem surprised and reckoned it might be something to do with aircon system. Overall a nice hotel. But perhaps style over substance and pretty expensive.

The design of the hotel and especially the rooms is outstanding in terms of attention to detail and comfort. The beds and pillows are wonderful, the Haeckels products in the bathrooms are beautiful. The wireless speaker is brilliant. But please note not all rooms have TV screens. But we knew that and we just used our IPad. The basement bar is great, there is a roof space to take your drinks in the summer. The lift is very slow, so those with mobility issues won’t get anywhere fast. We have stayed twice and would happily return.

Excellent friendly small hotel located right next to the old Town and Turner Gallery. Smart arty rooms with everything you need. Bed was comfy as you get. Fantastic tea facility in the room with gourmet cookies. Staff couldn't do enough to help you. Couldn't fault anything.

Lovely view, fabulous bedding, comfortable beds, original artwork, locally sourced soaps and handwashes etc. Also enjoyed our meal in the restaurant very much.

Good boutique hotel close to the seafront and amenities but away from the crowds. We stayed in a Superior Seaview room (number 9) which was very pleasant and finished to a high quality – it was not huge but was very well designed with plenty of storage and had a spacious feel due to the large bay window (facing E/N/W) giving a cosy seating area. Bed was large and very comfortable. Room had airco which was welcome due to the sunny aspect. Bathroom too was well designed and with good toiletries. We also ate in the hotel's "Colina" restaurant which provided delicious tapas-like dishes. Would recommend this hotel.

Tripadvisor implied best hotel in Margate - maybe it is, but if so don't go to Margate ! Room was tiny, and we paid more for a sea view, which was the Turner Museum and a sliver of grey when you stood up - ie no view when in the bed ! First night I got 3 hrs sleep as there was an intermittent noise all night - and when complaining they knew about it, but hadn't fixed it or found root cause ! TBF the moved us and second night was fine, but only compensation was a free b'fast

Beautiful hotel right opposite the Turner Gallery and beach, super stylish and a gorgeous room with sea views. Lovely stay!
