Clean tidy hotel room. Nicely decorated. The king size(maybe bigger) bed was extremely comfortable.
The only down points were the windows let in a lot of cold air. Okay, the first night there was a gale force wind and secondly the windows I think were original Georgian single pain glass.
The bathroom was very nice and also clean but the shower didn't fit the holder properly so I had to hold it when showering and there was a hole in the pipe that leads from the mixer to the shower head so water was firing out all over.
Those are the only 2 points that were wrong with the room otherwise the room was fine so don't be put off.

I literally used this as a stop over before starting a job early in the morning. I arrived around 21.45 and left at 06.00 so can't really comment on the facilities because I didn't get chance to use them. The room was perfectly fine, a little snug, but more than adequate. There were larger rooms, but I just wanted a cheap place to crash. Lovely pub just round the corner, serves what looked like nice food. I was too late to order, but had eaten anyway. Would definitely stay again and maybe have chance to try breakfast.

I will first start by saying that the Manager, Heather, was brilliant and I cannot fault her for customer service but the hotel itself is situated in a very run down street and our first impression of Margate was not a good one. Although our room was nicely decorated, by the end of the first night we so had so many issues with the room we cancelled the 2nd night and booked elsewhere.

Great value for money, right on the seafront, whilst accessible to pubs and restaurants, and town centre. Spotlessly clean, with complimentary tea/coffee facilities

We stayed at this hotel at the weekend, expecting something special considering the price. We were very disappointed. The room was very small, looked like it was under going preparation to be re decorated as there was all decorators filler patches on the wall, there had been some water issues as there was water marks on the ceiling, smoke detector cover missing. We found it very noisy as other people slamming doors and the noise from the bar was quite loud as people were sitting outside late at night. Very disappointing over all. The only positive was the staff on check-in were very pleasant.

lovely room with amazing views - we had room 12 at the top. friendly staff great location - try Woods bar and the Tapas place near the lido - amazing am giving 5 stars as we loved it some minor gripes - the double bed was in fact two singles which was annoying - shower door kept falling off its runner - smoke alarm without a cover looked messy would stay here again !

We arrived late and the night porter was very accommodating, including opening the bar so we could get drinks.
The hotel isn't overburdened with facilities, which is good, because we then weren't tempted to stay in. Only food served seems to be a Sunday roast, for which we weren't around
Although the hotel doesn't do breakfast, the Fort Cafe, which is a 3 minute walk does an amazing breakfast.
The Hotel is very convenient for the old town, local pubs/ restaurants and the Turner Gallery, all only a few minutes walk. Street parking was quite easy.
