The hotel itself is nice with well-kept grounds, simple, clean rooms with a balcony or terrace, friendly staff, good breakfast, and even a swimming pool. I also noticed the width of the bed in the single room positively, probably 1.20 meters compared to the usual 1.00 meters. So far all good! But my rating is so low for the following reasons: 1) I slept very badly because I didn't lie very well on the mattress, which is certainly more a reflection of individual feelings. However, the large, thick pillow made it even more difficult to lie down. A second, smaller and softer pillow could easily help in my opinion. 2) Even if the statutory provisions on the Corona rules have largely fallen away, I would have liked to see more precautionary measures here: there is a dispenser with disinfectant in the entrance area and a large Plexiglas pane at the reception, both of which are completely fine with me. However, I didn't like the processes in the breakfast room at all: I think it's reasonable that the breakfast buffet is either protected by plexiglass walls (open at the bottom like at the reception) or the guests wear masks when they go to the buffet. But especially I think I can reasonably be expected that the employees in the breakfast room should continue to wear FFP2 masks and thus contribute to protection against infection! There are still people who are at increased risk due to their age and/or previous illnesses. Very nice hotel. 1. The room is very clean. Although the facilities are not the most advanced, they feel comfortable and convenient. The bathroom only has a shower, but the water temperature is very good, and the entire bathroom is very clean. A free bottle of mineral water is provided in the room. 2. Breakfast is full, there are different kinds of bread pastry, different kinds of cheese and sausage, various flavors of coffee and tea, different flavors of juice, you can also squeeze fresh orange juice, and so on. 3. The front desk of the hotel is very small, connected with the bar. We arrived at 7 o'clock in the evening. Many people stood there to drink, very lively. The German guy at the front desk is very good at service. We asked for directions. He offered to book a taxi for us the next morning. 4. The environment here is very suitable for hiking and beautiful scenery.

The picturesque angle hotel is a perfect small oasis. Very lovely conducted the stay begins with a very friendly, personal and informative check-in. The rooms are tasteful, practical and very carefully designed (we had a modern comfort room in the artists' house). Breakfast is rich with delicious coffee, delicate and sweet. Het Schlosshotel Holzrichter ligt aan de rand van het dorpje Veserde, onderdeel van de gemeente Nachroth-Wiblingwerde. Schuin voor het eigenlijke slot een annex, waarin receptie en het restaurant. Beide gebouwen bieden prachtig uitzicht op het heuvellandschap van Sauerland. Het slot is natuurlijk geen echt slot .. het is tamelijk recent gebouwd in wel heel fantasierijke barokstijl. Kitsch .. ja, ”over de top?”, ja. Maar het is toch ook wel grappig om in zo'n Disneyland-achtig bouwsel te logeren. Wij logeerden in de Kronprinzen-kamer. We hoefden het gelukkig niet te worden. Ruime kamer, prettig, goed sanitair, balkon, goede bedden en gelukkig ook ruimschoots voorzien van barokkige details. Leuk en prettig. Sauna aanwezig en goed. Parkachtige tuin. Hetgeen men biedt in het restaurant is uitstekend .. men kookt met gevoel voor raffinement. Ontbijt uitgebreid en goed. Buiten fijn terras. Eén kritisch punt .. de koffie is niet alleen slecht, maar héél slecht. Overschakelen op cappuccino verhielp het probleem enigszins. Raar, voor zo'n plek waar alles verder perfect is. Andere koffieleverancier helpt vast.
