Showed up at 8 pm and no one was working the front desk, no one would answer the phone, couldn’t connect to the GM.

The new owners have done an excellent job restoring this historic site elevating it to a high level of service and making the price in 2024 more than reasonable. The expansive site is very quiet, remote, and walking paths are teaming with local wildlife as well as markers of the past such as the anchor blocks for old Marconi era antennae. Yes, they are working on a dining option, but there are some really interesting seaside options in the area including Nick's Cove and the Marshall Store. We also did not encounter any dogs, but it's true there are no elevators.

Really nice property with quiet and nicely appointed rooms. Staff very helpful. A great stay…would have given 5 stars but there is limited onsite food options and had to settle for $30 cheese box (with no crackers!).

The property is very quiet, nestled in the trees. It feels like a zen center to be honest. Plan ahead for food because there aren't that many choices, but the staff is super helpful in helping you with that, and they have a handy outline of local restaurants and cafes.
