Will not stay at this Best western again!! The staff was not helpful - when needing assistance with plumbing issue. The Breakfast staff was rude and disrespectful!!

The hotel is not conveniently located - it has an odd entrance to the lobby - I wasn’t sure where to go. The room itself was nice - the hallways were the most attractive part of the hotel. The reason for two stars is primarily for the breakfast. I had to ride elevator from 2nd floor to 4th floor, then walk down long hallways to another building, walk down a spiral staircase to a somewhat dark breakfast area which honestly didn’t appear all that clean. I only trusted packaged foods - oatmeal and yogurt. There were no trays to carry food either - I would have rather eaten in my room. I booked here because of the reviews; I don’t think it lives up to those reviews. I noticed one reviewer mentioned the staff as not being pleasant and I can concur. The room had no pamphlet with hotel info and when I called the front desk asking for breakfast hours, the clerk wasn’t the friendliest. I did encounter a cleaning woman who was friendly though, so there’s one positive.

The morning I was supposed to check in I got a text asking to register online. They also sent a list of info, such as check in and check out times and it said there would be a $100 hold on my credit card for incidentals. When I got to the hotel the woman at the front desk says there will be a hold on my card for $250! I was staying for one night. I told her the info I received said it was $100 so she muttered something and said ok, I’ll do $100. The hotel was fine but I feel like that woman was trying something shady. I’m 56 years old and I’ve traveled extensively. I’ve NEVER heard of a hotel trying to put a $250 hold on a card for a one night stay in what’s basically a budget hotel. Beware, something’s not right here.

Was a great place to stay we stay for my grand daughter dance competition. But when a worker let her family stay there for half of what we paid and they start a fight with our dancers and family and we got threatened to get kick out but we should have been given some what of a discount as well when we check out. But over all it is a good place to stay.

I travel from Waterloo to Cedar Rapids for work every day and needed to stay due to poor weather in the area. The parking area was a bit sloppy and could have used a good plowing, but the nice thing is I was able to park close to the front entrance. The staff was friendly and my room was clean and comfy. For the price, I will stay here again want first choice when needed.

Was told the hotel didnt offer shuttle services to the airport. Pack anr play I borrowed was filthy. Hotel overall was decent but dated.

The heater/ac unit had a high pitched whine that kept me awake half the night. The bearings were obviously going out or needed some oil. Its an old building.

The breakfast was not even a breakfast they gave you a frozen sandwich which you had to cook your self and they only had 2 options both with sausage. Was very disappointed. Also they didn’t have pool unlocked. Then it took them over an hour to reply to come unlock it
