Perfect stop over when riding the King Alfred’s Way. Facilities to wash and store the bikes over night. Great service throughout our stay. The food was also excellent, we were particularly grateful to them for allowing us to have dinner later than their normal window due to our later than scheduled arrival. The room was clean and well appointed. All in all it was perfect for what we needed and is whole heartedly recommend.

We had a great overnight stay at the Inn while walking the Ridgeway national trail. A warm welcome, comfortable room and excellent evening meal and breakfast. Also very grateful for the really good packed lunch for our next day’s walk. Recommended!

Very good value. We stayed in the triple room and it was spacious with comfortable beds. We enjoyed our dinner and breakfast and the location was very convenient - close to the M4 and also to Marlborough. It

We stayed for one night. Wish we’d stayed for longer. Very clean and comfortable room. Best nights sleep as bed was very comfortable. Very quiet. Free parking right outside room. Lovely cosy bar. Nice open fires. Staff were so friendly. Highly recommend

Stayed for a couple of nights when walking on the Ridgeway. Really welcoming and a lovely atmosphere in the pub. Good pub food. The room was great, comfortable beds, bath, big soft bath towels. A fridge to keep your food in if you needed too (we did!) They even have an outside tap to rinse your muddy footwear! Would definitely stay again.

We had a lovely 1 night stay. Rooms are fabulous and super clean! Food was brilliant, the black and blue burgers we had are something special. Comfy bar area and friendly helpful staff. Will definitely visit again if we take that route again. Cycle storage was very welcome.

Friendly and welcoming pub. A stop off on the Ridgeway. Great food and real ale with evening meal and a good breakfast in the morning- porridge and full English. We also ordered a reasonably priced packed lunch- good sandwiches, boiled egg, juice, orange and fruit and nuts to nibble on the way. Room was comfortable although shower perhaps a little tight ( but nice also to have option of bath)
