The location is great, everything is nice and neat without going into luxury (which is to be expected for the price point), the staff is also super helpful plus the included breakfast is a nice touch (during my stay it was coffee/tea/orange juice with bread/pancakes and honey/jam/butter) - together with the tours that you can book directly (I also had a great experience with the driver and the guide) makes it so you have few things to worry about during your stay. The bathroom set-up is also clean and well put together which is a huge plus. Loved the terraces as well. Absolutely recommended.

I recently stayed at this hotel and had a disappointing experience with the front desk staff, specifically the two girls on duty during my check-in at 9 PM. Despite my reservation, I had to wait over 30 minutes for a room, which turned out to be different from the one I booked. Despite informing them of our anniversary, the staff's response was unhelpful. The initial room's view was changed without acknowledgment, and the alternative offered was worse. Only after speaking to the manager ( it's worth noting that the manager I spoke to was exceptionally friendly and understanding) did we receive a better room, but it still wasn't the one we booked. The lack of consideration for our special occasion made it a frustrating experience overall.

After check-in, the socket in the room suddenly exploded, and the whole room was out of power! Then I changed the room a little better. Both rooms are not very clean! In addition, at breakfast, after eating, sit and rest for a while! As a result, a fat waiter came over and said that if he finished eating, he went out to rest outside the restaurant and didn't use some polite language. Even the French beauty next to me heard me speak and asked why they wanted to do this to me! And then the French beauty let me sit! The hotel's pool garden is OK! Not far from the train station!

I booke the Savoy due to its proximity to a business convention and because most other hotels were sold out. I was able to experience the suite and the regular room. The rooms are well sized and clean with all amenities (shampoo, gel etc) available. The breakfast has a good selection of local specialties and western items. Staff is overall friendly and aiming to do a good job. However, here is we’re the hotel (in my opinion) missed the mark of the 5 star experience. While I genuinely believe that staff is aiming to do a good job, I don’t think they are well trained. - I tried to get additional water by calling housekeeping on different occasions, it turned out impossible. No one was picking up. Upon calling the operator, still nothing happened - Getting my laundry done was a similar experience. I called the dedicated number for laundry service and no one picked up. Then I called the operator and explained the situation and was assured someone would come. Again - no show. - The remote control in my second room was broken. I tried to call housekeeping. To no avail. The guest relations manager called me because they confused two rooms and accidentally gave me a room that was clear intended for honeymooners (which I tried to explain to the gentleman who brought me to the room, but he insisted and showed me the paper from reception..) I explained to her that the remote was broken, she assured me someone would come, but no one ever did replace the remote control. - I tried to book a tour through the concierge. (In person). When I got to him, he asked me to sit down and told me he would give me a brochure. After 20min, he was helping other guests (who came after me) and I still sat there without a brochure. I ended up booking my tours online, which turned out perfect. There are however people who made the stay better. Ayu - from room service. A young gentleman who learned my coffee and organized soya milk. (I ordered my morning coffee because housekeeping would not leave any milk or powdered milk…) Rachid - one of the porters. I had forgotten my plug. The hotel send me a converter but didn’t have plugs. He gave me his personal plug until I bought one. The hotel is ok if the price is right. I think making it 5 star is a bit of a stretch given that personnel is not well trained.

Dirty cutlery, noisy location and poor service…. First problem, I was staying on the four floor, which was an issue as one lift was out of action and the other two lifts are unbelievably slow. The room was dark and even with the lights on difficult to see anything without the use of a torch. Thankfully my room was facing the pool as many colleagues who also had been staying complained of noise through the night from the road, obviously in rooms that had been facing the road. I still had an 8am wake up from the building site next door though. I only had breakfast at the hotel - but found the cutlery dirty and some cutlery had some sticky residue on them. Food was ok but far from the standard I had found in some of the local restaurants. At checkout I had a problem with the laundry bill, I was offered only a 5% discount on the laundry. I ended up paying in full after being threatened by the police for taking a photo of the invoice. Once in my taxi, back to the airport the taxi driver said there is always a problem with the hotel at checkout….clearly not an isolated case. The hotel did have some old charm but very much tainted by poor service, dirty cutlery and a noisy location. Avoid.

We checked in to our deluxe room, and it was a horrible stay. First off, the deluxe room building is the furthest building away from the hotel, and by the time we get to our room, the view from our balcony is of a construction site and parking lot. Our room had a particularly strong vinegar smell to it, and we asked to move rooms. We were told that every deluxe room was sold out and we would be able to move rooms the next day. Next day comes around and we didn’t hear from the hotel. Every call to guest services took at least 3-5 minutes until someone answered or called back. We also came back to our hotel room unlocked, and it seemed housekeeping didn’t truly close our door when they cleaned it. On our last night, the A/C didn’t seem to work. We called guest services and the lady I spoke to told me that it was turned off for the whole hotel. When asked why or when will it be turned back on, she abruptly interrupts me and says I’m transferring you to the front desk. I waited for at least 2 minutes on the phone before someone from the front desk to answer my call, and he informs me that someone will come check our A/C. We love staying at different hotels in different countries and had no issues with other hotels in Marrakech, however, our stay at Movenpick was very underwhelming and staff didn’t seem to care at all. This has been a very awful experience, and hope that the hotel management can make a much better experience and improvement for others.

The hotel is located in the center of the city. It is convenient to travel and the surrounding facilities are complete, but when I checked in, a very strange thing happened. The hotel gave me a room on the third floor. When I reached the third floor by elevator, I found the third floor Many rooms are being renovated, and workers come and go in a messy feeling. I thought maybe only a few rooms were being remodeled and didn’t care. When I continued to go to my own room, I found that there was still a section that was using a percussion drill to hit the ground. The sound was loud and dusty, and I immediately turned back to the front desk of the hotel to ask for another room. The quiet environment, the hotel hesitated and gave me a room on the fourth floor, but when I entered the room after arriving on the fourth floor, the sound of the impact drill was still loud , There was no way to rest comfortably, so I had no choice but to contact Ctrip's customer service. In the end, the customer service communicated with the hotel and changed me to a room on the fifth floor on the other side. It was very quiet and gave me an unexpected compensation voucher , Thanks to Ctrip's customer service! I mainly want to make complaints about writing this review. As a five-star international chain hotel, the hotel is undergoing renovations during the period of receiving guests, and the guests are arranged in rooms on the decoration floor, which is simply unbelievable!

What a gem of a property in the Accor catalog of accommodation and hospitality! I am a senior, solo, single traveler, and Ibis rooms are just fine with me! The Wi-Fi could be a little bit better, but that's the problem with the vendor and the Internet service Provider, not the Ibis. Although this Ibis would be within their rights to demand better service- in 2023, with 100+ rooms. I came directly from an Ibis in Lisbon, which had fewer items for breakfast, and no Chef for evening dinner! The breakfast is a wonderful mix of Moroccan, Arabic, French foods, but also American/English. Scrambled eggs are made without dairy, and I brought my own gluten-free bread from Carrefour to be sure. While they do have a container of Honey, I bring my own, as I don't like touching containers and spoons touched by other customers... another customer absconded with my honey yesterday, and one of the wait staff had to retrieve it! Three languages are spoken here: Moroccan, Arabic, French, and plenty of English. Any word that is too specific can be translated on any of the web translation sources. Like when I needed to explain that DHL was bringing a package with my gluten-free chocolate chip cookies that Carrefour does not stock! There's been some shuffling of the wait staff in the last few days, but besides being new, quiet, and shy, they are all talented and all understand hospitality. The evening dinner is attended to by the top echelon of the hotel staff and everything is more than fine – which in my case means a very plain and simple American taste. Since I don't carry currency, the evening food bill goes on my room tab. Breakfast was part of the booking in the first place, but I don't fully understand what ”half-board” means, if that means evening dinner, so I will be inquiring about that. Being next-door to the train station means it's a three minute walk to excellent sight seeing and people watching. And McDonald's of you so care, and at least two mobile phone SIM shops. Carrefour is a 10 minute walk, and there is a shopping mall which is about a 20 minute walk which I will be visiting for recreation purposes and window shopping, to get a feel for the retail culture of this city. And people watching! I did read about the potable water situation on a Moroccan tourism page. This Ibis has plenty of bottled water, so just ask- at Reception and of course in the Restaurant.  I also read about cash versus credit card. The three places that I have spent money at have all accepted cards. It is currently Ramadan, but this Ibis respects International tourists' needs and wants. No disruption of service- and the staff seem to be very happy to be celebrating the holiday. My room had two minor maintenance issues, which were resolved quickly. The garden is beautiful and peaceful, and well manicured. I have stayed with other brand name chain hotels in the US and Europe. There is nothing in this historic building that is outdated, or in need of renovation. The most important

Firstly, great clean hotel. Especially entertainment manager Faza. Plus all staff, top notch! For example, we had the suite and found it had a faulty tap/washbasin. The maintenance repaired it within 10 minutes of reporting. Pool size ( adults) is big with lots of space (although we visited mid-Septmber). The pool bar drinks had a variety but they did keep running out of drinks in which could mean a 10 minute wait. Beer was ( in some cases) warm so ask for a bit of ice!). Don't use the bar inside - you pay for that even if you are half or full board. The food was a good variety (breakfast, lunch and main meal). It's not labeled but just ask - the staff are great. Trips into town are about 20 minutes and taxi fare (return) is about 200 dirams. Loads of places in town so plan in advance. HIsham ( customer relations) is great, so check with him. Rooms are cleaned daily, and are really clean. Housekeeping staff are really nice and helpful. Only one real gripe though. Checkout time is 12pm, and you can only have breakfast, NOT LUNCH. The All inclusive bands are taken at 12pm. You then pay extra for lunch, drinks etc. You get to use the amenities,( toilet, water, gym,) but that's it. The hotel need to change that policy, as we can't fathom why they do this. Other then that, we can't fault the place, and the wonderful staff.

GGuest UserAs very seasoned travelers, my family and I enjoy exploring the most amazing resorts and hotels around the world, which we look at with a very discriminating eye. For the Oberoi Marrakesh, it is truly difficult to find fault. The hotel, relatively new, is simply stunning with the impressive lobby and villas, as well as expansive gardens with 2700 olive trees. The acting General Manager Mamdouh is the perfect and consummate hotelier, ever present checking everything non-stop, to ensure the guest experience is nothing less than 5-stars. Jalal from their F&B outlet surprised us with an entire loaf of lemon cake to take back to London that was not available on two breakfasts which we sore missed after our first breakfast. El Habib is an amazing server ready to grant you at least three wishes with his magic lamp! Khalid the Duty Manager also asks non-stop how they can improve a service that is already par excellence. Our hats off to the amazing pastry chef who makes baked goods that rival the best Parisian patisserie. I saw the two staff who cleaned every machine in the fitness center using four sprays leaving neither dust nor germ —- they focus on the minutest detail. The whole team is just extremely well-trained and professional and very committed in their desire to exceed your expectations. The synchronization of their efforts, in the most natural and sincere manner, always with big smiles, translates to nothing less than less than a truly memorable experience. They know how to make you feel like Arab royalty! We will certainly be back!!! Thank you so much to all of you!!! Shukran! If you want that “palace in the middle of the oasis experience” in Marrakesh, you will not get it any better than at the Oberoi!

YYUEThis kind of price feels that this Amanlang has a false name. First, there are no snow-capped mountains to see. Second, the green environment is not as good as Mandarin Oriental. If you stay for one night at most, you don’t want to continue to stay. My personal experience is that Mandarin Oriental is much better.

GGuest UserThis place is particularly good, the Chinese do not lie to the Chinese! ! When checking in, there will be mint tea and snacks to eat. The place to live is also very clean and bright. The air conditioner is very warm. It is still hot when you feel it (except that the toilet is a bit cold). The yard is very nice, very suitable for taking pictures, breakfast is delicious. The most important thing is that the people here are very good. I don't know the wifi password, so I called the front desk. A very polite gentleman came to help me lose. We left late the next day so wanted to leave our luggage here, they immediately agreed, and put our pizza in the refrigerator! When we came to get it, Miss Sister also said take your time, you can stay for a while and then leave, so I fell asleep in the yard... I heard someone talking in my ear in a daze, and opened my eyes and found that the gentleman who helped me enter the password yesterday told me that I could enter the room next to no one. Take off your shoes and sleep well on the bed. In short, I highly recommend everyone to stay! ! !

550jeniferpWe checked in in the morning, which we were very grateful to them for allowing us to do. Everyone was so kind and helpful even after we realized there was a problem with our reservation. They worked with us and never tried to charge us for the mistake even though they certainly could have (especially when it took a few days for our travel agent to fix it). The food was delicious, every single person was friendly and helpful. We also got massages at the spa and were so happy and relaxed. They even held our luggage for free for a few days while we went on an excursion. The rooms they gave us for the second half of our stay were even nicer than the first. They were in the process of filing the pool and we really enjoyed sitting out by it even though they were laying even more pretty tile (the hotel is very beautiful as it is, even nicer than the pictures). I will say the internet passwords kept expiring which was annoying, but they always gave us a new code without any issue except the minor inconvenience. We will definitely be back.

GGuest UserI booked the hotel after one of the other reviewers on here kindly answered some questions for me. It was bliss. The room was elegant and comfortable, breakfast buffet had lots of good choices and pool area was a delight. All the staff were lovely too. I’m really surprised at some of the other comments here which say the staff were unhelpful. Maybe it was the stress of operating through covid. For me, after a few days they knew my name, what I like to drink, where I wanted to sit and offered me a very late checkout before I even asked. The only ****** was that you can’t set the air on temperature individually for your room, it’s set for the whole hotel. Ample complimentary bottled water in the room every day. I didn’t use the spa, so can’t comment on that. The restaurant and alcoholic drinks are v expensive, but there are plenty of restaurant choices outside (although only the most expensive serve alcohol). The location is great, just a 15 min stroll to the Djemma El Fna, and 30 mins (or short taxi) to the Jardin Majorelle. All the taxi drivers know where it is too, unlike some of the small riads, if you’ve done so much walking you need to taxi back from somewhere.

IIlan ToledanoVery nice hotel. Very nice and spacious swimming pools. The rooftop pool is very nice, you feel like you're in the middle of the medina and at the same time it's very relaxing. The bottom pool is very large but there is quite a lot of noise in general. We had to be upgraded when we arrived, which was really nice. The service is very good, however the breakfast is of good quality but the choice is quite limited and that is what disappointed us the most. In short, a very good experience :)

Very Good
GGuest UserBackground: stayed 3 nights over new year 22/23 with the family. Hotel is twinned with The Opera Plaza Hotel, but we stayed in the Red Hotel Section. The Good: friendly staff, clean rooms, good service and housekeeping, wonderful buffet breakfast with scrambled eggs, Morocco’s style pancakes and bread made on demand, pool area is fabulous and you could easily spend hours there. Location was good with most tourist attractions a 5 to 10 min cab ride away. The venue has a bowling alley and a restaurant with international football shown every day, it is not rowdy and is a nice atmosphere to watch a match. Close to Menara Mall and some western fast food places. The not so good: the red hotel is a bit dated, carpets in common areas are a bit frayed and the room stayed in was very basic with uncomfortable pillows and facing the street was noisy. Overall: this is an upper 3 star / lower 4 star hotel. I would rate 7 out of 10. I think most people would be happy with a short stay at this hotel for a reasonable price. I have read some of the other reviews on trip advisor which can put you off but our experience was fine. I also note the comment about a new year event on another review, we were at the hotel at the same time (the red hotel part) but not invited to anything.

GGuest UserWe stayed at hotel chems from the 31st of December for six consecutive days for the new year. This was my second time in Marrakech but my mum's first time. The location is second to none within a few minutes walk to the square and also many other local attractions. On arrival we were told that we needed to check in from 3:00 p.m. we'd got there early but were able to drop off our bags and then go out exploring. The hotel itself is a little outdated, however it is very clean. Staff are very good, welcoming and attentive, room sizes good and price good. Bedrooms made up everyday, towels changed, cleaned throughout. Pool towels available for free at pool. We stopped between December and January, that is a very good size pool approximately 25 m. However it is very cold but still accessible plenty of seating areas for drinks and snacks. There are plenty of sun lounges around the poolside as well as in the grass area. Breakfast is served daily which is included within the cost and there was ample choice a selection of eggs, Cereals, yogurts a little fruit, many pastries, etc. The hotel also has a snack bar and does offer evening meals. We did not take any evening meals here. We did have snacks during the day. Things like salads, pizzas, burgers, etc. The food was good. As the hotel was very close to the local area, we were able to walk although it was close to a taxi rank. If you should need this. Within 1 minute walk to Koutobia mosque, then about 5 mins to jem so fnaa square, Cyber park short walk ( nice to visit) near royal mansour Marrakech, Around 40 mins walk is the beautiful menara :) There is also complex artisan is about 10 minutes walk maximum full of things to buy As you come out of the hotel grounds, if you do a left you will find a park on the left hand side ( Koutobia). You can walk straight through this to the main road to take a shorter route to places. There is plenty of opportunities for walking and running. It is very safe to run alone. When we were there the sunrose at about 8:00 to 8:30 a.m. and the mornings were cool. During the daytime, you can expect temperatures of around 18° c in December and January plenty warm enough if you are from England. We had a walking tour that I arranged before we went through TripAdvisor. It was very good. We also booked the waterfalls trip. This was okay. I also took a hot air balloon trip which was amazing. All of these were booked online instead of at the hotel. There was no particular reason not to book at the hotel. I just didn't realise that there was somebody on site to do this before travelling. The reception is manned 24 hours, 7 days a week. On New year's Eve, we was welcomed with a show and dinner from 7:30 p.m. full entertainment and several courses for a meal and drinks. This was all inclusive even though we was on a bed and breakfast basis. We had no idea that this was going to happen. It was a lovely surprise. The entertainment was fun. Most of the ho

NNicola MWe arrived around 9.15pm on a Friday night, reception said to leave everything there and grab some food as restaurant closed in 15 mins. There was not much to eat as they were already packing away, but we could get something. PROS Quickly checked in and reception staff were lovely and we were taken to our rooms. We had a family suite, which was gorgeous. Large double bed and another room with 2 single beds, lovely air con, but no main lights in the bedrooms just lamps (which were beautiful. Lovely large bathroom. Pool was large and very nice, plenty of sunbeds and no 6am madness. There was 10 of us and we easily managed to get beds together after breakfast at 9.30am. Restaurant - food was lovely, amazing tagines for lunch and dinner, chips at lunch time and all sorts of pastas at dinner. Breakfast was very basic, but fresh omelettes and pastries. If you want bacon and sausages dont go to Morocco enjoy their cuisines. Staff were friendly, animation team were great, always going above and beyond and not too pushy. They just never stopped and in that heat I dont know how. They were AMAZING. Shuttle bus which fits 16 people on goes into town a number of times a day and picks you up. Slightly confusing, as you get dropped off in the middle of no where and have to walk to the square, so REMEMBER WHERE THEY LEAVE YOU as this is where you have to make your way back to, to get the bus home. Overall took about 25 mins. CONS Snack bar - hit and miss. some days you could get a burger other days just some pastries. Shop!!! BEWARE. They will rip you off. There is a man and lady working in there, if you see the lady she will overcharge you beyond belief. If you go when the man is there, he provides you with a reasonable charge. e.g. a packet of chips she told me was 100 dirham (around £10) I then went back when she wasnt there and the man charged me 40 dirham! Wasps - this is not the hotels fault but there are a lot of wasps around the pool. Throw your cups away after use. Bar at Night - so drinks stopped at 11pm, however from about 8pm there is only 1 bar to get drinks for the whole hotel. The Bar staff conveniently then go on breaks leaving 1 person working whilst you can see others standing in the room behind laughing. Huge queues which caused lots of arguments and angry customers in the evening. Middle of no where. You are not able to leave the hotel and go for a walk as there is nothing around at all. Overall it was lovely and these cons would not stop me booking here again.
