Hampton Inn & Suites Marshalltown

I chose this hotel over another hotel in town solely because of the advertised hot tub. Upon arrival we were told the hot tub has not been in use for over a year because it can carry bacteria. So why is the pool okay? A hot tub should not be listed as an anemity if there isn't one.

Not at all up to Hampton standards. I literally had to wait at the front desk for 20 minutes until someone showed up to check me in. She didn't go over the usual relevant info one receives upon check in: how to get to your room, where the pool and gym are located, what time breakfast is served, etc. The room was dusty. The hot tub was empty.

It was very pleasant. The woman at the front desk was nice and did not have an attitude. When I got supper I noticed they did not give me utensils and she was willing to help me with that. No problems with getting into the room which I have had at other hotels with the card not working.

The front desk person was never visibile. Had to wait number of times or find another employee to get the desk person. We were there three nights and I didn't see a staff person at the desk when I walk in or walked out. I was not told when I made the reservation or when i did check in that we wouldn't get room cleaned every day.. we left the room on the second day at 11:00 am, came back hours later and the room hadn't been cleaned. Let the customer know what they are paying for.

The hotel is very comfortable. Quick and easy off the highway. The staff is friendly and very nice. All travel needs are also close including WalMart and gas stations. After being here at this hotel for a month so far, I needed to extend my stay and checked earlier this week about it. Unfortunately I was having to check out due to a large group coming in and was told the hotel was fully booked up. As a regular traveler, I asked every day if their happened to be an opening. I walked by this evening and I asked if they were still full booked and if so, that I would be moving next door to the Holiday Inn (Boo) tomorrow. and needed a late check out. Sara was working and she said she was sorry that I was going next door but that she would see if something changed. I was happy to find out that I am now staying until I check out later next week. Thank You Sara ! Unknowing to anyone else, I have to return for another 2-4 weeks later on and I wasn't planning to stay here after I was being inconvenienced when I first originally asked. So, thank you Sara for keeping me at your hotel for the rest of this stay, and earning my return stay when I come back. Being in customer service myself, it feels good when I receive great customer service. Thank You !

That was the worse trip in my live. This can not really told what this stupid so called Hotel Management has done wrong. No service, no cleanlyness, the bed was very uncomfortable, it stinks in every room.

Nice property. Great staff. Only downfall was the hot breakfast. Would rate it a 1. Potatoes weren’t cooked and eggs weren’t good.

The hotel was nice. The room was clean and nice I had issues with the staff servicing my room. Once I asked several times the room finally got serviced not in a timely manner. And when they did the toilet paper and shampoo was not replaced. I had to go get little bottles at front desk. 😩
