Beautiful resort, food is delicious, alcohol prices very expensive. You can buy a beer in local shop outside resort for 80% less which most residents had picked up on, stocking hire cars on days out. Fia fia night was good but you can't see the fire dancers unless you are at a table close to the sand which is a shame. Also, make sure you withdraw cash before you arrive at the resort as they charge you 9% extra!.

In 2023, we first stayed late February, and loved the resort so much we returned in November 2023. I have just booked and paid for us to return over December/January 2024/2025. I just happened to be browsing through the reviews and can't believe some of the negative comments. Guests that we met during our first stay have also returned since. And we know a lot of people from our city of residence in NZ that have also stayed. When we returned in November, can you imagine how it felt to be welcomed by 2 separate staff members on our first day of arrival (one at the happy hour bar and then one at dinner) with a hug, to be called by name, and welcomed back. They remembered us and were not forewarned we were returning! The owners have been nothing but friendly and helpful. I never witnessed any rudeness towards guests. Likewise from staff. I am a well seasoned traveller and have visited not only a lot of countries worldwide, but practically all the Pacific Islands. Samoa and Saletoga Sands Resort, are my only go to's for a close to home, tropical holiday destination. And will continue to be, until I am placed in a wooden box. Keep up the good work and friendly smiles to the owners and staff at Saletoga. So looking forward to our next stay and enjoying a Samoan New Year :)

We stayed here for two nights. The resort is perfectly nestled on the south end of Upolu, Samoa. There is a huge difference between the single rooms located on the "old" block and the newer villas spread throughout the property. It's clean but lacks simple things like phones in the rooms. This means every time you want to contact reception, you have to walk or call them from a locally procured SIM card. The staff are hospitable and kind. The food was good. I think we'll book the Villa for a better experience next time. It's definitely a place we'll visit again.

Wir haben in dieser Anlage fünf schöne Tage verbracht. Man kann hier super entspannen, im Meer oder im tollen großen Pool schwimmen. Der Bungalow war gemütlich und die Terrasse mit Blick aufs Meer ist perfekt. Die Lage des Resorts ist etwas abseits. Man kann aber problemlos ein Taxi mieten, um die Insel zu erkunden. Das Hotel verfügt auch über Mietautos. An der Rezeption werden auch organisierte Touren angeboten. Frühstück war in Ordnung, nur manchmal gab es etwas zu wenig Tische. Man kann gut im Restaurant a la carte essen, es werden aber auch mehrfach in der Woche Themenbuffets angeboten. Das Personal war meist nett und freundlich. Grundsätzlich läuft auf Samoa alles etwas langsamer ab, darauf sollte man sich einstellen.

Stayed in the garden adults only accommodation which was excellent. It was clean, tidy and comfortable. What has stood out during our stay are the staff. It is obvious management treat them very well, just like family and in turn staff are incredibly helpful, friendly and has made our stay amazing. The other stand out are the beautiful grounds which are impeccably cared for every day and are beautiful. And lastly the food and how the kitchen is run is on point! Last night was Fia Fia night and the food and dancers were next level! Even though this resort is on the other side of the island away from main Apia, it is absolutely worth the stay. 100%. It is quiet, cooler and highly recommend it.

I had an amazing time at Saletoga Sands Resort. The view was breathtaking, and my children loved the chance to see the beautiful fish right next to the shore. They were also delighted watching the crabs scuttle between the rocks. A highlight for me was the theme dinner nights, adding a unique and enjoyable dimension to my stay, and the pricing was very reasonable.
Saletoga Sands is a family-oriented resort. While there's a delightful splash pool and playground for children up to about 8 or 9 years old, most guests congregated around the separate swimming pool. The addition of ride toys for young children and a water slide into the ocean by the owners was a really nice touch. Even though I wasn't daring enough to go down the slide, I appreciated the creativity it brought to the property. The limited internet availability posed a challenge for my husband, but he didn't mind sitting in the lobby to stay connected, whereas I saw it as an opportunity to read a good book.
Overall, Saletoga Sands Resort exceeded my expectations with its thoughtful amenities, family-friendly environment, and unique touches that made our stay truly memorable. I highly recommend this resort.

What a great resort! Fantastic set up throughout. We stayed in the hotel, good size room, everything on point. The A La carte restaurant we had dinner and breakfast, great service, food and experience. The buffet breakfast was superb. We snorkeled and used kayaks which were free to use. Pool honestly was the best maintained I have used, did not use pool bar,Though lots did. All aspects were above expectations. Keep up the great work Gav and Lou.
