Very good hotel, in the central area of Matera, very convenient. According to the hotel's route guide, call the hotel when you arrive at the Cathedral Square, and the hotel will send someone to help with your luggage. Because there are steps, luggage service is very much needed. The interior facilities of the room are complete, the bathroom is modernly decorated, the equipment is very good, and the living is comfortable. Hotel service is also very good. The key is to play Matera, all need to walk, up and down, the convenience of the hotel location is also very important. Because the hotel itself has a small number of rooms, the price is relatively reasonable. After all, it needs to be equipped with a certain scale of service facilities. For example, the hotel restaurant (Figure 1) is very good. Didn't choose dinner as I had two breakfasts there. I went to the only Michelin one-star restaurant in Matera (Figure 5). Because it is a Michelin star, the high price is reasonable, but unfortunately, I spent 150 euros per person for the set meal, and I was only 70% full. The form and content are different. Suite 101, simply the best hotel room we've ever stayed in (and we've travelled a lot) We are wondering how we'll survive back at home without a jacuzzi! So nice to wander the streets and come back in the afternoon for a refreshing dip. The staff are so friendly and helpful too.

We loved our stay at Palazzo del Duca Matera. The location is perfect and has an incredible view across the ravine. The bed was big and comfy, the room was bright and luxurious. The staff really made our stay special, everyone was so kind and helpful. We felt welcomed and quietly pampered. The breakfast buffet is THE best we have ever had, with a huge variety of beautifully home-baked pastries and other items. Dinner was also outstanding. Each dish was unique and local and full of flavor, and the dining room is in a romantic and peaceful cave. My husband complimented me on finding this hotel.

La struttura, nel centro storico di Matera, a pochi passi dal duomo, è sicuramente unica nel suo genere in quanto in gran parte incastonata nella roccia. La camera, dotata di una jacuzzi molto spaziosa, era dotata di tutti i comfort che ci si aspettava. La nota dolente però è stata proprio la vasca idromassaggio che purtroppo non aveva una temperatura adeguata (l’acqua era fredda) e l’idromassaggio era funzionante solo in parte. Il miscelatore del lavandino inoltre non consentiva l’uscita di acqua fredda. Alle nostre rimostranze in merito, non è seguita alcuna risoluzione del problema, né tanto meno le scuse da parte del personale. Da migliorare c’è sicuramente il servizio e l’attenzione verso l’ospite che una struttura come questa deve sempre garantire. L’unica a dimostrarlo è stata la ragazza presente durante la colazione: cordiale, simpatica e professionale.

Posto meraviglioso, posizione ottima facilmente raggiungibile a piedi parcheggiando fuori dal centro storico, colazione eccelente, peccato solo per l'acqua della piscina in camera non abbastanza calda e quindi non piacevole in inverno. Ma merita comunque le 5⭐

Di passaggio a Matera ho deciso di prenotare telefonicamente poche ore prima del mio arrivo . Martina mi ha risposto con molta gentilezza e mi ha dato tutti i consigli giusti per arrivare all'hotel e per il parcheggio riservandoci poi un accoglienza molto calda e allo stesso tempo professionale dandoci tutte le spiegazioni sulla città...ed offrendoci un drink di benvenuto....mi sono sentito come a casa! Tutto il personale dell'hotel è molto gentile e amichevole e questo è certamente molto importante per l'ospite ....vorrei ringraziare Angela che per me è stata "l'angelo delle colazioni" una bellissima ragazza . Una menzione particolare per Fausta che prepara i dolci e i biscotti che rendono la colazione FANTASTICA!!!!! L'hotel è stato ristrutturato con gusto e permette di dormire nei caratteristici sassi senza rinunciare al confort ed al lusso di un ottima camera. Tornerò presto perchè Matera non si può vedere in due giorni ... è una città incredibile ed oltre all'aspetto culturale offre moltissimo anche dal punto di vista culinario.
