it is an attractive building in the centre of Matera with a good breakfast but the hotel design is totally impractical as there is no holder for the toilet roll ( we ended up putting the toilet roll on the floor), nom privacy in the bathroom mas the ancient wooden folding door has an inch gap at the bottom, there is no shower curtain so the water falls onto the floor at the entrance to the bathroom ,the wash basin has a u curve in the front so the water splashes out and the tap cannot be adjusted to have a smaller flow. Very strange as it could be top class but isn't

Bellissimo hotel tra i sassi di Matera camere splendide e pulito. Lo consiglio per la sua caratteristica e disponibilità e gentilezza del personale. Colazione ottima e camere insuperabili. Unico difetto la televisione non di fronte al letto

Era da tempo che avevamo il desiderio di andare a vedere questa città diventata nel 1993 patrimonio dell'Unesco. In modo del tutto casuale abbiamo prenotato in questo hotel colpiti dalla posizione (tra i sassi di Matera) e delle foto molto particolari nei dettagli. Il personale molto cordiale e disponibile, appena arrivati ci ha dato il benvenuto con due calici di vino (buonissimo) prodotto direttamente da loro, ci hanno accompagnato nella ns stanza e ci hanno fornito tutte le indicazioni per approfittare del poco tempo a disposizione per godere delle bellezze dei sassi di Matera. La stanza era bellissima, incastonata nei sassi, dotata di ogni comfort e molto pulita, per non parlare della colazione la mattina, in cui in un ambientazione di altri tempi abbiamo gustato le prelibatezze della Basilicata. Non si può andare a Matera e non soggiornare al Palazzotto. Grazie a tutto il personale dell'hotel e alla natura che ha "dato vita" alla creazione di una meraviglia a cielo aperto.

Tutti almeno una volta nella vita dovrebbero andare a Matera. E soggiornare in questo luogo incantato. Tutto perfetto, curato nei minimi particolari. Dalla camera, spettacolare, ai luoghi comuni, fantastici. La colazione ottima, con ampia scelta di prodotti fatti in casa. Gentilezza, professionalità e cortesia di tutto il personale. E graditissimo l'upgrade della camera!

Very unique property. Staying in cave was an adventure. Each room is different according to the cave structure. Lovely welcome, wonderful staff. Thoughtful front desk, they go out of their way to take care of all needs and reservations for dining and sightseeing.

Un luogo magico, curato nei dettagli, con personale gentile e disponibile, sopra le aspettative. Ottima anche la colazione con prodotti tipici. Mi sono sentita parte della città. Camera spaziosa, una grotta ma von i confort di un hotel 4 stelle
