La particolarità di dormire all' interno di una grotta nei sassi di matera senza rinunciare ai comfort di una struttura luxury.

Our stay here was like staying at a boutique hotel. It was so unique and felt completely private. Great in-room amenities and great bed and bedding. The location is great, but as we did you will probably need a taxi from the train station. If you can arrive at Matera Sud, it would be more convenient. Victor from the hotel arranged a taxi for us upon arrival which worked out great. This place offers great customer service and a fabulous breakfast. Can’t recommend it enough.

Struttura molto fine situata nell’ incanto dei sassi.Le suite sono dotate di tutti i comfort e soprattutto sono veramente belle.La colazione completamente servita è eccellente ed il personale professionale ed accogliente. Ci ritorneremo sicuramente!

I must say, I was not sure what the property would be like from online, however from the very first communication..to the check-in all the way to check out I was blown away. Victor at the reception was first class, kind, professional and extremely helpful. He really set the mood and made the experience what it was! For every concern we had, Victor was available and he was so quick to offer solutions to our needs. If you want to be treated like a VIP this is the place to go! I must also say the breakfast was very delicious and was nicely presented!

The property is well placed to explore Matera. Viktor, the manager, made us feel very welcome from the minute we arrived. He took some time with us to explain many of the places to visit during our short stay and this very helpful. Breakfast was outstanding and a great start to each day, especially when we were able to eat 'al fresco' on the terrace outside reception. Viktor was available throughout our stay to offer any help or advice we required.

Beautiful property. Meticulously maintained. Homemade Italian breakfast included. Easy to walk everywhere within the Sassi. Room was beautiful and spacious. A huge call out and special recognition to Victor who checked us in & gave us a 40 minute history lesson about Matera. Parking is about a 10 minute walk away in a safe clean parking garage & the hotel also has shuttle service for 15 euros. We had a family emergency and had to return to the US and Victor went above and beyond helping us communicate with the rental car company to return our car early. He was helpful and compassionate and will not be forgotten.

Beautifully designed luxury cave hotel. Our family had a very comfortable 2-night stay and our kids loved sleeping in a cave. The room has air conditioning and was very well-ventilated. They thought of every detail and design element Perfect location in Sassi Caveoso and steps away from many good restaurants. We had lovely breakfasts outdoors and the food was really good. The people at Conche Luxury Retreat were so helpful and super responsive. Matera is the most memorable town we visited during our Pulglia and Basilicata trip. I highly recommend staying at Conche Luxury Retreat and seeing Matera at night and early morning when the light makes town even more stunning.

This hotel is a must if you are visiting Matera. These once inhabited caves date back to 7,000 B.C., and the city is across and carved INTO mountain. Spectacular views all over and beautiful old city with talented craft persons and delicious restaurants.. Hotel was created in cave rooms, providing luxury and comfort in rock. Breakfast was a feast at hotel and included in the room rate, staff was more then accommodating. We were delighted with the whole experience.
