We chose this structure due to the presence of the spa.
Unfortunately upon arrival we were informed that it was closed due to the time.
The next morning we were informed that the structure is eliminating the tub and that therefore there was no availability at any time.
While for the other services a reservation was required.
If the online description had been more "clear" we probably would not have speeded up the structure also due to the possibility of parking (at least 15 minutes walk away)

Very Nice hôtel in Matera !
The host was very welcoming and kind. Perfect explanations of the city tour.
Please note that the cleaning in the bathroom was not perfect but the room was clean.

Small chic hotel, once you find it. Be sure to obtain clear directions to hotel and for parking in advance of your visit (rather than miss an email sent just 2 hours before arrival!). Pack light or be prepared to haul your baggage up some serious steps.

Bereits bei der Buchung wurde uns mitgeteilt, dass wir für die Anreise ins Sasso Barisano aus mehreren Varianten auswählen können, da die Zufahrt zum Hotel mit dem Auto nicht möglich ist. Wir wählten die aus unserer Sicht optimalste Variante - Parkieren im Parkhaus Nicoletti mit anschliessendem Transfer ins Sasso Barisano, hat perfekt geklappt. Hin- und zurück für 20 Euro, in sehr fairer Tarif. Unsere Gastgeberin erwartete uns bereits und führt uns zu unserem Zimmer, Numisia hiess das wunderschön und liebevoll gestaltete Doppelzimmer. Sofort fühlten wir uns in diesen Jahrhundertealten Gewölben wohl und sehr gut aufgehoben. Sie versorgte und mit wertvollen Tipps rund um Matera und bemühte sich, dass wir für das Abendessen in einem schönen Lokal noch einen Tisch bekamen. Der Morgen empfing uns mit strahlend schönem Wetter, die kleine Terrasse vor unserem Zimmer war bereits für das Frühstück eingedeckt. Im Foyer erwartete uns ein kleines aber sehr feines Frühstücksbuffet, dazu leckere Espressi oder feine Cappuccine - so fühlen sich Ferien an. Die Zeit verging wie im Flug, stets fühlten wir uns sehr gut aufgehoben und beraten. Bei der Abreise stand der Shuttleservice wieder pünktlich vor dem Hotel und brachte uns zum Parkhaus. Grazie mille per tutto!

We stayed here for 4 days and had a great time. The room was very spacious and welcoming even if a little humid (due to its location in the rock). The breakfast was delicious and there were both sweet and savory options. The setting was beautiful with a clear view of the old city. Furthermore, the area was very quiet and convenient to reach by shuttle. The only thing that should be fixed is the spa service that is included in the description which in truth is not very functional given that the staff has to come from outside, which is not always possible. In general La Dimora di Metello is a perfect place to spend your holidays in Matera immersed in the tranquility and beauty of the city.
