Hotels Near Yomegashima Shrine in Matsue

One of the best decisions we made during our recent trip to Japan was staying at the Ohashikan. We stayed in a standard room overlooking the Ohashi River. The room was large and quiet. The futon beds were placed on top of foam mattresses and were very comfortable. The wifi was very good. The staff, especially James, were friendly and very helpful. Ohashikan has an excellent location. It is a ten minute or so walk to the Matsue Castle and the Castle area which includes Lafcadio Hearn’s Residence and Museum, and a longer walk in the other direction to the center of town and the railroad station. On the first night we dined at the hotel’s restaurant. The Japanese food was wonderful. Even if you don’t stay at the hotel go to the restaurant and enjoy the food at Shosuitei. We opted for the western breakfast which was also excellent, The hotel recently started a bar and grill, The Willows, on the 2nd floor with a long bar overlooking the river with James as the bartender/host. He offers specialty cocktails and superb Japanese whiskies. Its hours were Tuesday to Saturday from 5:30 to 10 pm when we stayed at the hotel. In addition to the local sites, if you have time, take a day trip by train to the Adachi Museum of Art in Yasugi with its garden. When you exit the Yasugi train station there is a free shuttle bus that takes you to the museum. If you travel to Matsue a stay at the Ohashikan is highly recommended. The hotel is opposite the jr station and needs to take the underground passage and cross the road. The bathroom in the twin room has a separate shower and does not need to cross the bathtub. Although it is a hotel in Yumao Hot Springs, it is also easy to see the night view of the lake, which is a feature and recommendation point of this hotel. I stayed for two nights, but what was overwhelming was the deliciousness and number of items for dinner, the number of items that I couldn't compete with in the hot springs of Gunma, and the deliciousness of the breakfast buffet. I had some trouble with the parking lot, but the good reception at the front desk made me feel at ease. Anyway, it is an inn that made me satisfied with Ku 々. It is an inn that I want to ask again if possible.

The building is old, but the interior has been renovated with calm colors, and the 3300m2 Japanese garden that can be seen from the lobby is a beautiful sight. The large bath, which is generously paved with agate power stones, is spacious and beautiful with three colors of blue, red and white stones, and there are many washing areas, so you won't feel stressed even if it's crowded. The open-air bath is also large and open, so it's very relaxing. In addition, the men's and women's baths are switched the next morning, so you can enjoy a variety of options. The prices are a little high, but the food is delicious and I was able to relax and enjoy the beauty-enhancing hot springs.

I stayed as a previous night for visiting Adachi Museum of art. It is about 3 minutes walk from Adachi Museum of art. The accommodation fee is a bit high, but the satisfaction is high. The building was beautiful, the bath and the large bath were the size of the inner bath, and it was enough to include an open-air bath. The meal was also served with a crowded hand that utilized local ingredients. Hospitality was good. After checking out, please leave your luggage during the visit to Adachi Museum of art. If you ask, I sent you by the inn transfer bus to the mountaineering entrance of Tsukiyama Tomita Jo castle. In addition, because the rental bath is booked after arriving at the inn, if you do not check in early, you will enter the free early person win without reservation after 22 o'clock. It is not a walking distance from the nearest Yasugi station where the limited Express stops. It takes a little 3000 yen for a taxi. There is a transfer bus for the museum from the station. If you tell the inn name, you can put it in front of the museum for free. However, the last flight in the evening is quite early time zone. I took the last flight. Let's check it on the homepage in advance. There is no convenience store by the inn. Shopping at the convenience store is a little walk from Yasugi station. It is a souvenir shop in front of the museum, and you can buy a little food and drink including alcohol. However, it closes to the closing time of the museum. If the transfer bus to the inn is the last flight, let's shop without going to the inn. The inn store was about the extent that souvenirs were lined up in the corridor next to the front desk. The vending machine was a conscience price.

It's the best hotel. The floor is made of tatami, so it's nice and soft. The large hot spring on the 12th floor is also great. Be sure to eat breakfast. You'll regret it if you don't eat it. They give you ramen at night, ice cream in the afternoon after the hot spring, and yogurt for free in the morning. We give it to you.
