The Ryokan is near Sawando bus terminal, about a 3-4 minute drive. The central part of the hotel is older than it appears in the pictures. Notably, there is no private bath in the room, so bathing is limited to the onsen facilities.
Dinner has a mediocre taste, rated 6/10. The meat is chewy, and the fish seems neither fresh nor tender

It has just been renovated, and many of the furniture and equipment are new, but it can be seen that the quality of the materials used is not very good. The environment of the hot spring is not good. The worst thing is that the sitting stones and the hot spring stepping stones have many edges and corners, which are very dangerous. We almost got cuts, so we had to leave quickly. The environment was very quiet at night and there was no place to walk nearby, but the dinner was very comfortable and not bad. The waiters explained and greeted attentively, which is worthy of praise!

The bath is said to come from a hot spring source, but it was so hot that I had to be careful to get into it. However, I think the power of the hot springs is that I was able to stay in light clothes until the morning without getting cold. If the changing room is dark, you will not feel safe, so I think it would be better if it was a little brighter.

No shower available inside the room, we need to use the hot spring. However, the water was not hot enough! I found two Japanese ladies use both indoor and outdoor hot spring just for few minutes and then left with disappointment.
The food qualities of both dinner and breakfast were not up to the standards of “Onsen” hotels in Japan at this price level I had gone before. Unfortunately this hotel is the only one available for booking on Trip.com near the area of Kamicochi. Will not recommend to anyone.

A little disappointed, the name is Kamikochi, but it is a bit far away from Kamikochi and you have to take a bus to get there. There is no food market around, because there is no order, so I can only eat curry rice in the hotel. The only thing I like is that the service attitude of the staff is very good.

Traditional onsen style Japanese hotel. Minimal English speaking but we got along just fine using a Translator App on our phone. Basic Japanese rooms with futons on the floor but the food was very good and the staff made that extra effort to make us feel welcome because of language. Good hot spring bath and on main road to Kamikochi so the buses went past regularly and not a long journey.
