It is in a very convenient location as a transit point for going to Tatamidaira in Norikura and Kamikochi. Although the building has been around for many years, it is kept clean, the food is decent (the breakfast was more substantial than the dinner, and the rice itself was very delicious), and the open-air baths are a bit small. However, I am glad that they have taken proper measures to prevent the spread of coronavirus in the changing rooms. However, when I went to Kamikochi on the last day, the bus timetable I received at the front desk was not up to date, so I was unable to connect in time for my return train and had to take a taxi back to a distant station. It's gone. When I reported this to the front desk and the Kyukamura headquarters after returning home, the explanations were repeated and repeated, with each party repeatedly shifting responsibility, and the response was far from sincere. Initially, the front desk staff said, ``We don't have all the information,'' but they told guests that they were not checking the latest information on the bus companies that serve their locations. I think that's extremely irresponsible. I was able to get my taxi fare refunded, but this last incident turned my happy memories into regrettable memories. I realized that if even one of them is negative, all of them become negative when multiplied.

"Shinshu Umaimon Buffet" whose name is dead. The gap with the HP photo is too great. Although it is a complaint that the menu uses local ingredients, the menu felt poor. Not even apple juice in the morning and evening! In addition, Shinshu's specialty pork is very hard, and I would like to see some ingenuity in how to present the dish, such as grilling a mountain of ayu with salt in a warmer that makes you lose your appetite. Breakfast has a poor balance of Japanese and Western menus. The soup for breakfast is only miso soup, no soup. I was surprised by the hard and dry bread.

There are many kinds of food (buffet) in a beautiful room and it is very delicious. You can refresh yourself in the nature of Norikura.

I've always been curious about this place when I go skiing, but this was my first time staying there. I think it's one of the oldest types of vacation villages. Perhaps due to the coronavirus pandemic, when I arrived in the evening, the lobby was empty, and even the coffee and other drinking areas were covered with cloth, giving it a lonely feel. The staff at the front desk were very business-like and didn't have a single smile on their faces, making them feel a bit curt. I guess it depends on the person, but this person has always had that impression. The room was a Japanese-style room, so it was a very ordinary inn room. Futon bedding is basically self-service, but if you request it before 6pm, they will lay it out for you, so I asked. The same services as other vacation villages include a basket to change into when you go to the bath, and yukata in different sizes. These things are already becoming commonplace. That's good! The bath feels like a super public bath, probably because it is used by day-trippers. There is a large rest area just outside the bath, but no one is using it right now, so it was quiet. The hot springs are very nice, there is no strong odor or color, and when you soak in the water, it feels very pleasant to the touch. I was relieved of my fatigue. Meals are buffet style for both dinner and breakfast. All of them were delicious. In particular, the Shinshu beef steak for dinner was medium-cooked and exquisite! There's also lamb chops, which are fresh. Also, by combining tempura, sashimi, etc. with rice in your own way, you can make tempura bowls, seafood bowls, etc. It was a lineup that seemed to have a lot of fun. It was nice to have soba noodles for both dinner and breakfast, which is typical of Shinshu. The horse sashimi was also delicious. Nowadays, it seems that the slope where you can ski directly here is not open, so it is a shame that the convenience of using it when skiing is not so good. There are no convenience stores nearby, so if you need anything, it's best to prepare it in advance. I think the good points are that the hot springs and food are good.
