Excellent room service, great variety choices of hot spring and friendly staff!

The best hotel in Matsuyama

The service is very good, it is a very Japanese hotel, with its own hot spring, the hot spring water is the same as Dogo Onsen, separated for men and women, very private, and with a very Japanese garden, exquisite and beautiful!

The room facilities are good and the meals are also very good in the private dining area. The friendliness of the staff is so good that it's hard to explain, and although Japan as a whole is clean, Funaya here seems to be especially clean. The hot spring facilities are good, but the only flaw is that the open-air bath is a bit small.

Apparently there was a room available, so we were upgraded. We were able to relax in a spacious space. The furnishings in the building were also lovely, giving us a feeling of elegance.

It was my first time to check in and I couldn't understand the language. The waiter enthusiastically introduced me, helped me check in, and explained all my questions carefully. I was very satisfied. Will come again.

The room is about 3 minutes away from Dogo Onsen Station. The hotel has a long history and a very beautiful garden courtyard. The room is large, the room supplies are complete, the quality is high, and the service attitude is very good. Very satisfied!

The hot spring hotel is over 300 years old. The waiters are very friendly. The hot spring has two floors with outdoor pools. In the morning and evening, the male and female baths alternate. The Japanese set menu for dinner was delicious. For drinks, I ordered the specialty orange juice, which comes in four flavors. For breakfast, you can choose Western or Japanese style. There are cute little baskets and slippers at the entrance of the hotel. You can wear kimonos from the store and go shopping. The hotel is a few minutes away from Dogo Station, Commercial Street, and Dogo Onsen Honkan.

This hotel has a long history in the Dogo area. Not only literary figures but also the royal family have visited it. It has a very beautiful Japanese garden and high-quality hot spring. With such a reputation, I must stay there. It certainly lived up to its reputation, it was truly an unforgettable experience.

The hotel service is very good. The waiters have good service attitude. The breakfast and dinner arrangements are also very detailed. We are very satisfied.

I was able to take a hot spring bath in the large public bath, and both dinner and breakfast were satisfactory! If I go to Matsuyama again, I intend to stay again! I went to the public bath all afternoon, night, and morning, and there were only about 5-6 people using it at most. It's quiet and nice^^

The hotel hot spring is very good. The tatami room is larger. The hot spring banquet cuisine is rich in content. Recommended!

It was nice that it was close as it was 3 minutes away from Dogo Onsen Station. I was able to see the Botchan train clock and Dogo Onsen on foot. I was satisfied with the kaiseki dinner and home-cooked meals for breakfast. It rained, but they lent me an umbrella, so I was able to enjoy the view without getting caught in the rain.
