Well this one was a surprise! We added it in because we'd been to, and loved, many of the other Porini camps but we wanted to have really good rhino sightings and try something different. The fact it's a lodge pool also appeals... it was the rainy season and the neighbouring river was raging which made for a spectacular sight. The tented lodges were also amazing and it was nice to have hot water on tap... bush showers are fun but this was a little treat! Like all Porini camps, our guide and the camp team were amazing. I think it was one of my wife's favourite teams, and the food was very well done. You'll certainly be full. As it was rainy season, everything was incredibly green which made it a bit trickier to spot wildlife and it's really about the rhinos here (although we had good elephant and other game sightings) as well as a HUGE number of bird sightings. We highly recommend this camp as a stopover as you work your way on the circular plane route from Nairobi to Mara and stop off at a few others places like Samburu or others places. It's a nice change and very different. You just need to know it won't be as easy to see things at times because of the denser growth. If you're looking to see a different part of Kenya, this is a very good option and it's a lovely lodge to stop off at as a new thing.

Great experience, very nice accommodations, great food (special thanks to the chef for providing full vegan options and a birthday cake). Friendly staff. The relief manager is great (and not just because he is a tall man), very knowledgable and ready to help out and deliver all your requests.

We were lucky at the last lodge we stayed in Kenya - the manager Njau Maina Benjamin turned out to be an enthusiastic naturalist, birder and photographer. Right at the lodge, he showed us the wonders of local wildlife we would've missed otherwise (like a troupe of marauding ants attacking the other ant species, an unbelievable Paradise Fly Catcher floating between the branches by the pool...) The lodge is managed very well, including the food. Unlike at other lodges we stayed, apportioned food was served, not in a buffet stile. And it was excellent. The chef, John Bisengi, has our sincere gratitude.

We loved our time at Rhino River Porini camp, right from our pick up at our airport to when we left to move on to the next camp. Edwin, camp manager was friendly and professional. Staff were all happy and helpful. We loved our luxurious tent, complete with hot and cold flowing water ( no bucket showers!), flush toilet and charging points for our devices and cameras. Our bed was so comfortable. Our meals were delicious ( but too much food!). Peterson our driver and spotter was excellent. He found so many animals including several rhinos blocking our road, giraffe, elephants, buffalo, jackals to name a few. The pool looked so inviting, but no time to use it. Special thanks to Peterson our driver, Caroline our room attendant and Edwin. All the staff were excellent. Thanks for a wonderful experience.

We really enjoyed the stay at the Rhino River Camp, which has a great location and wonderful rooms that offer you the chance to see wild animals. Our 2 nights stay was nice with very delicious meals and friendly staff. We appreciate all the staff from the camp and also Mike from Tsavo Cat Tours and Safaris for planning this trip to us. I'm looking forward to going again with you.

Rhino River Camp ticked all the boxes. Beautiful location, spacious and well designed accommodation, and good food. We went with our 4 year old son and my parents. The staff were very friendly without being too overbearing and the game drives were gorgeous.

The staff were all fantastic. The rooms were clean and strategically placed for privacy. I was excited to live a childhood dream of sleeping in the trees. To maintain privacy, they are a bit of a trek away from the main dining area. The game drive was fun. Animals in the park are in plenty and I appreciated how the guide go out of their way to make sure you have a great experience. Got very lost so if you are planning to go there, do not use the Google maps only. Call/ Contact the camp for details on the best route

This even beat the more expensive “Jocks Lodge“ walking safari. Utterly perfect. Memorable food and hospitality, only dampened by some extremely heavy rain during our stay. The Tent, needless to say was utterly watertight and supremely comfortable. I strongly recommend the walking safari with Andrew and his “second gun” Amos. Lovely guys. Trusted. To hear the nearby lions roar from our tent made our holiday. Compelling value for money too. Thank you Rhino Post. 🦏

Wonderful camp - heaps of rhinos, delicious food, nice pool, delightful staff and wonderful frog croaking outside our tent all night. Loved the tent with the separate pavilion. Hugely recommended. I'll be back!
