We stayed at this hotel 18 years ago & although we regularly holiday in Austria, it’s the first time we’ve been back to Mayrhofen. Don’t know why we left it so long as it’s a great resort & The Elisabeth is even better than we remember. The whole hotel has been improved & extended. We were amazed that they remembered we’d stayed before, despite it being so long ago, & delighted that they upgraded our room. We also love the fact it’s now an adults only hotel. The staff were very friendly, helpful & efficient throughout. Our room was usually serviced while we were at breakfast. The bed was very comfortable with lovely bedding, although a tad warm at night when the outside temperature was high. The bathrooms have all been refurbished with lovely walk-in showers & plenty of space for all your stuff. As others have mentioned, the food is excellent. You are allocated a table for the week where you sit for breakfast & dinner & in common with most Austrian hotels, you pre-order your soup, starter, main & dessert while at breakfast. Your drinks bill from the previous evening is also on your table to sign at breakfast. Unfortunately, on one occasion we were charged for some wine which wasn’t ours. We pointed this out to the waitress & she amended the bill but this wasn’t taken off our bill on check-out. A €10 tip for a massage was also added to our bill on check-out but we didn’t notice either error until we got home. My husband enjoyed the saunas & steam rooms & also booked 2 massages during our stay, which he said were very good. We will definitely return.

Our first stay in Mayrhofen and we are so glad that we picked the Elizabeth. Staying with friends we had rooms 207 and 208 in the original hotel ,the views from our balconies were stunning and the bedrooms spacious and each had a comfortable lounge. The food was exceptional ( having visited Austria on numerous occasions ) this was by far the best ranging from breakfast, afternoon tea and superb evening dinner ,with up to 6 courses all beautifully presented. The spa was first class and very much appreciated after hiking in the mountains. All the staff were polite and eager to help ,specially David our waiter who helped make our stay so enjoyable. I can certainly recommend staying in the Hotel Elizabeth if you want to have a marvellous holiday.

The hotel is an adult only hotel which I really like, no kids or babies crying. It's a very attractive hotel very near the village centre but not in the centre, the train and bus station is only 5 minutes walk from hotel. We opted for a premium room and it is big with a separate sitting area, the bathroom is wonderful with sliding doors between walk in shower and toilet. Lots of plugs to recharge mobile phones. The facilities in this hotel is superb, a big heated indoor pool; big jacuzzi, 3 steam rooms and 3 saunas inside the hotel and also a jacuzzi outdoor. Plenty of lounges indoors and outdoors. I have never experienced all these even in so called famous 5 stars hotel. Breakfast was superb with lots of fresh fruits, hot stations and cold cuts. Bread in this hotel is also superb. There's a machine where I can press and made fresh juice daily. From 3pm to 5pm, the hotel laid out an afternoon buffet which is to my surprise, I was not aware of this when I booked. It contains 2 types of soup, lots of pastries / cakes and even apple strudel and custard on some days, also lots of salad stuff and cold cuts and fresh bread. Truly amazing. Dinner is also superb, 6 courses starting with salad buffet that you help yourself, then waiter's service with hot soup, starter, main course, dessert and cheese buffet if you want more. Always choices of starter, main course and dessert including vegetarian options. All the staff are wonderful , most days our room was made up when we returned from breakfast, so efficient. There's a guide called Otto who leads guided walk daily, he came to the hotel every Sunday night at 9pm to explain how these guided walks work , how to book up etc etc I can only praise this hotel as everything is excellent.

My wife and I visited the Elisabeth in May of 2024 after we picked up her new vehicle in Zuffenhausen, Germany. We were on a two week driving trip through Germany, Liechtenstein and Austria. We selected the Elisabeth for a variety of reasons. We wanted an adult oriented property, a quality spa environment, a good location for walking and hiking and importantly secure indoor parking. The Elisabeth met all these points. Our room was in the new section of the property and was modern, large, well-appointed, quiet and spotlessly clean. It had abundant storage, closet space although we were traveling lightly in a small vehicle for two weeks. The bed was comfortable and there was lots of sitting/relaxing space. The indoor self parking was underground and although the entry/exit was a little tight, the individual spaces were large. An elevator gave direct access to the hotel from the garage. There were plenty of open spaces and nice cars. The location is great for walking through Mayrhofen and for shopping and for access to the cable car to the top of the ski area. We cabled up and walked back down to the Mid-station. It was a great walk, not difficult and the scenery was amazing. One note: Shops and some restaurants in Mayrhofen (Austria in general?) are closed on Sunday and Monday. We had the half-Board meal plan and that was a good decision. That avoided the random selection of restaurants and off-hour operations. We drank the Austrian wines and were pleased with quality and price. The food was abundant, well-prepared and with a good selection. We had a dairy allergy that was quickly and well-accommodated. We were assigned the same table and server for our entire stay. We thought that unusual, but it turned out to be a pleasure. Our server was engaging, spoke fluent English and was helpful in many ways. The Spa was fabulous. We were provided a "Spa Bag" with robes and towels and clothespins with our room number to attach to your robe. The entire spa area was very well-equipped, and again spotlessly clean. The pools require swimsuits, but the sauna/steam rooms are in a clearly marked separate area that is "textile-free". There is an infra-red lounger area there that was most effective after a hike. The cool mist shower was awesome after the steam room. The sauna area was not busy during our stay, with rarely more than 4-6 other guests. There are multiple quiet, relaxing areas, inside and outside. There is an elaborate whirlpool in a courtyard that we did not use, but found intriguing. We booked massages with Johanna. She was amazing with perfect English, and massage techniques. She was engaging, knowledgable about every aspect of the Spa and was very pleasant. We noted that most of the other guests were couples or single female travelers. Our experience was good on every level. The front desk staff, servers and spa staff were almost all English fluent and welcoming. From the welcoming brief, the glass of bubbly on arri

A lovely hotel, recently modernised with excellent spa and wellness areas. Staff couldn’t have been friendlier and were very helpful. We loved the system they had for evening meals- a menu to order from at breakfast. Great choices for vegetarians and vegans too, all very tasty and beautifully presented. A ten minute walk to the gondola and town was an easy stroll and the ski lockers were also nice and clean. Happy to recommend this hotel.

Such a wonderful place, so good we’ve booked our Winter 2025 stay here already. From the moment we arrived we have had nothing to worry about: this hotel has all the necessities you may ever need including the ski room to store your equipment overnight, luggage storage room with personal lockers and fantastic spa facilities. We were greeted with a welcome drink and were shown to our room shortly. We got to choose our dinner meals from a range of options on the daily menu every morning. Additional afternoon snack from 3-5pm daily was included in our half-board package which was a lovely surprise. Spa was one of the best I’ve experienced in the Austrian hotels. Spanning across a relatively large area (we never felt crammed) they have a sauna, a steam room, swimming pool and 2 jacuzzis (one inside and one outside). We quite liked the outside one; paired with the view over the mountains and the Penkenbahn cable cars - hands down best thing after a long day on the slopes. Hotel has a ski bus stop right outside so you won’t have to walk far. When returning back from the slopes we at times would choose walking back to the hotel (7-10 minutes max) as opposed to waiting for a ski bus. Staff has made sure we had the most relaxing week. All in all 10/10 experience!

Just returned from our annual trip with a group of good friends. It’s our 8th annual visit and we wouldn’t contemplate staying anywhere else in Mayrhofen. Excellent standard of accommodation, very friendly staff, fabulous spa and great food (both breakfast and dinner). 10 minute stroll to Penken lift but hire your kit from Ian in Rentforfun opposite the lift and you can leave all of your kit there overnight. And make sure you visit Bruck at the top of the village for some top notch apres ski. We are already looking forward to our 2025 trip to the Elisabeth.
