Fairfield Inn & Suites Pittsburgh North/McCandless Crossing

clean room, quit hallway, friendly staff, great breakfast, hotel close to shopping center, near main roadways to take you to downtown pittsburgh.

The hotel seems fairly new so it is clean and well maintained. It seemed to be short staffed at the front desk. Breakfast is offered although we did not eat anything so I cannot comment of the breakfast items. My only complaint is the bed pillows had a bad odor. I usually travel with my own pillow but since it was a quick overnight trip I chose not to bring it. Big mistake on my part. I ended up spraying each pillow with fragrance and sleeping with a shirt over the pillow to cover the odor. Good location with plenty of restaurants nearby. My only recommendation is to bring your own pillow!!

Upon check in I was asked if I booked with a 3rd party. After I said yes she proceed to tell the other staff member that she had to reenter my email and other information and seemed annoyed that it was an addtl step she had to do. Other than that the stay itself was fine. Room was as expected. Nice gym and breakfast the following morning.

Room and bed comfortable and warm. Staff friendly and informative. Breakfast was hot and available coffee and tea all day was great. Enjoyed my stay. Felt homey. I enjoyed my stay and definitely would stay here again

The staff was very hospitable and pleasant to work with. I came in exhausted and check-in was a breeze. I collapsed in a very comfortable and cozy bed.. I enjoyed a lovely shower and came down for breakfast. The breakfast selection was quite good, but the food that I selected was cold. That was a disappointment. I eat it nonetheless because I had to spend the day at the hospital and I knew I wouldn’t get another meal for most of the day. Again, the staff was gracious and accommodating.

THE WORST MARRIOTT EXPERIENCE EVER. I hope you're reading this Bonvoy. I'm a leveled Bonvoy member. I've stayed at this hotel before and the service is "meh." Tonight it was AWFUL. I waited til someone eventually came out of the office and said "what do you need?" I'm here with a bag, I know it's after 11:00 but is it hard to tell I'm checking in? Never greeted me. Never looked me in the eye. Asked my phone no. and punched out a key. I had had my credit card and driver's license out. Put them away and THEN he said "ID?" No thanks for staying at the Marriott. Rude. Not customer friendly. I WON'T STAY HERE AGAIN.

Bathroom was not very clean. Nail clippings were left in the shower and on bathroom floor.
