I don’t understand why the hotel charges a 8000 pesos fee per person per night with the excuse it’s a hotel insurance and everyone is supposed to pay, I stayed in various hoteles in Medellin and this never happened. The location is good and the room was good too, the windows are a bit small and so it feels hot inside, the air conditioner did help but we were hoping to have more fresh air

Location is great

I stayed at Urbit Social Lofts in Laureles for a week while working remotely (and exploring the city), and it was an excellent choice. The location is fantastic — Laureles has a great balance of restaurants, cafés, and neighborhood life while still feeling relaxed and authentic compared to more tourist-heavy areas of the city. I like el Poblado, but I loved Laureles. Both Parque Laureles and Segundo Parque are just steps away, and the whole area is very walkable and surprisingly green. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful, even with my limited, but eager Spanish. The room was spotless and housekeeping kept it that way. My room on the 9th floor was comfortable and had a small kitchenette area that made a longer stay easy (microwave, sink, hotplate, pans, dishes, etc.) - though with all of the dining options nearby it didn't get any use. The Wi-Fi was fast and reliable, which was perfect for remote work. The 13th floor breakfast area has a beautiful city view, and the complimentary breakfast with fresh fruit, eggs, juice, and excellent coffee was a great way to start the day. Highly recommend staying here — I will absolutely return. NEARBY ACTIVITIES Both Parque Laureles and Segundo Parque are just steps away. On Saturday morning there were even a few local vendors set up in Segundo Parque selling produce and prepared foods. The neighborhood also has a great mix of cafés, restaurants, and small shops within easy walking distance. SAFETY Laureles felt very safe throughout my stay. It’s an active neighborhood with people out walking dogs, going to cafés, and enjoying the parks. One morning I made a wrong turn while walking to a café and a woman walking her dog immediately stopped to ask if I needed help finding where I was going. WALKABILITY Excellent. The neighborhood is very walkable with tree-lined streets, parks, cafés, and restaurants all within a few minutes. Everything I needed during the week was within walking distance. FOOD & DRINK Lots of great options nearby. I especially enjoyed working from Semilla café and also visited Café Revolución and Rituals. The hotel’s complimentary breakfast on the 13th floor was also great — eggs, rice and beans, fresh fruit, juice, bread, and excellent coffee, with a beautiful view of the city.

This experience started out with HUGE satisfaction! Unfortunately, as each day of our 3-nights passed, the rating went down incrementally until we ended at somewhere between "Average" and "Poor". PROS: - The location is super convenient with restaurants and grocery stores within a few minutes walking. Other interests can be reached within 30 to 45 minutes of easy walking. - The design and decor was very nice, environmentally sensitive, and appealing. - Our first room (403) was large, well equipped (kitchen appliances and utensils), and quiet. - The nightly rate, as I recall (we had discounts through Cititravel) were fair. - The staff was mostly attentive to our needs. - The breakfast was pineapple, cantaloupe, papaya, 2 cereals, bread to make toast, rice and beans, coffee, 2 juices, ham and cheese cubes, and eggs. - The breakfast staff were friendly and provided excellent service. CONS: - Our first room (403) had a TV that did not work. We alerted staff, and were told that it would be looked at the next day. It wasn't. We asked for another room. - Our 2nd room (301) was a corner room that was smaller, with excessive noise from the street. It also had a non-functioning bedside light that was reported. We were told maintenance would look at it the next day. They didn't. - We asked for a late checkout, but was told "no" even before we finished asking. - For English speakers, note that English is not spoken very well by any staff we engaged with, so communication could be difficult. - The breakfast was the same every day, with variations made to the eggs. Also, on our last day with an hour before the buffet closed, some food was not out and they said there was no more.

Great little hotel in a cool neighborhood. Absolutely cannot beat the value you get. Rooms are great. People are nice. Efficient place.

The rooms were very good, comfortable and clean and the hotel is in a decent part of town. It's very showy with maybe more show than substance. The breakfast were all that great with the same things and no variation for the full four days we were there plus its didn't seem all that organised unfortunately
