Hotels Near Connaught Pond in Medicine Hat

I live in this city and sometimes it would be nice to have a night with my boyfriend without interruptions and some privacy, so we booked a hotel. The room was clean, the location can't get any better. However, the pictures of the room online were extremely deceptive. Our king size room really was just a king size bed, there wasn't room for anything else like the jacuzzi tub or a nice sized bathroom like on the website. At check-in when the front desk gentleman noticed I was from that city, I explained that my house was too busy and I just wanted a night to myself, some privacy for once. Apparently that is code for this game he played called 1001 questions and then he gave me a room right beside the front desk. Hotel was fine, no complaints. The staff however might want to rethink his path in life. Maybe he should persue becoming a private investigator.

WE STAYED THERE ON AUGUST 10-2024--VERY HAPPY THERE--THE ROOM HAD 2 BEDS --WE ONLY NEEDED ONE-THE RENO AND LAYOUT WERE GREAT --A TABLE WITH 2 CAHAIRS--A NICE DESK--FRIG-MIC--liked the idea of a coffee maker but there were no cups and no coffee to make it--LIKED THE WASH BECAUSE THE SINK WAS OUTSIDE THE TOILET AND SHOWER-parking was easy-- you have a winner with this motel keep up the good work

The staffs are very nice, the hotel is dog friendly. Room is clean and the bed is really comfortable, I really felt that I was at home.

This is one of the better Days Inns we’ve stayed at. The rooms appear to have been recently updated and are clean. There’s free breakfast, which we feel have better cooked food than the others we have been to. It’s within walking distance of a few restaurants and there’re delivery options available, too.

We rented the Honeymoon Suite for our 1 year wedding anniversary. Pros: The room was clean and welcoming. It was reasonably priced. It's massive and could easily sleep 6-8 people! There was a fridge, microwave, 2 washrooms, 2 TVs, a king size bed, gas fire place, balcony and a heart shaped tub. The staff at check in was very friendly. Cons: The TVs are quite small for location. They are hard to see from the bed and the tub. The blinds on the gorgeous windows do not block any light at all. We got face full of sunshine bright and early! Breakfast was on until 9:30am but when we came down at 8:50am it was pretty much gone. So we only got slim pickings. The room is beside a storage room so it got a bit noisy at times. The ice machine on our floor was on the other end...and broken. So we had to take quite the meander to get ice. All in I'd stay again though!

There were no bath towels for three people, and only two people were prepared. When I contacted the lobby, the cleaning staff came back, so I was told that I couldn't give it to you until tomorrow.

Stayed with a youth sports team and location and hotel are perfect for this type of stay. Super close to groceries, restaurants, etc and easy to get around. The team enjoyed the pool and the lifeguards were great at reminding the kids to behave safely. Rooms were very comfortable and clean. Not the newest property but did not feel shabby or unclean. Breakfast was your typical. Staff were diligent at keeping the food fresh and plentiful. Our one and only complaint was with the woman manning the check in desk when we arrived. My son and I arrived at 3pm and were told our room was not ready. No problem - check in wasn't until 4pm. However, when I asked if he could use the pool to join his teammates that were already checked in, we were told no, that was not possible. Seriously?? It is inconceivable to me that this request could not be granted. We have travelled extensively and have never been denied using the hotel facilities before our room was available. This employee appeared to be on a major power trip when she could have easily turned this review from a 3 to a 5 star by letting my kid use the pool an hour early with his buddies. Also want to note that she did not appear to be the regular front desk person. The other staff were extremely lovely and helpful.

The hotel is very new and clean, which I really appreciated. However, the soundproofing is poor, so it can get a bit noisy at times. Overall, a pleasant stay despite the noise issue.

As soon as you walk in you are greeted with a smile and a friendly face. The rooms are very clean and spacious. I like the shower cause it has a removable shower head. The best are medium firmness to them. But one thing that is terrible are the pillows. Bring your own. The free breakfast is like any normal hotel with nothing that special to it but is good.
