After arriving we find out from manager that the pool looks bad, but it is clean and we can go in it, they are planning on renovating it in August. Then I check on spa services and was told no services were available because they can't get anyone to come to resort to do them. One of the main reasons we came was for the spa. So, we had to drive into Kerrville find a spa that took us on short notice. Only breakfast is served during the weekdays, so you have to travel either to Kerrville or Bandera to eat, which is 15 to 24 miles one way, no microwaves in rooms so you can't heat any food up. When they open up for the breakfast for the 1 hour is the only time you saw any of the lounge areas. The room was rustic, the bed was squeaky and very high up were you have to use a step stool to get on it. The only good thing I can say when you did see the staff, they were friendly. The manager did reimburse us for 1 of the nights after I told her she should have let us know the plans of shutting down and that there were no spa services so we could have made the decision if we still wanted to come.
