Extremely convenient toTRNP. Comfortable and quiet. Nice decor. Good restaurant. Very nice staff (interns mostly). BUT the TV did not work with no one to fix it until the next day. AND they didn’t make up the room between our first and second night. Told us when we asked that needed to be requested in advance (at extra cost?). We have stayed at hundreds of hotels all over the world for six decades and I have never seen this before. Really weird! ROUGH Riders indeed!

Beautiful boutique-style hotel! Very clean, comfy beds, and very convenient to the national park. Great restaurant on site for both breakfast and dinner. Tastefully decorated in a rustic, western style. Beautiful, extensive Theodore Roosevelt-themed library.

Booked the suite with a balcony for my Big Birthday!! Very disappointing. Could not check in early, they said they would call me when it was ready…they never did! So then it was a twenty minute wait! No bathrobes or slippers and only paper products for drinking. Was finally able to get coffee cups for the am but our wine had to be enjoyed out of plastic glasses! The app in the room does not work to reach the front desk! Oh and there is NO POOL at the Rough Riders hotel!! It’s over at the Elkhorn hotel. It was a nice balcony!

The historic room was charming, comfortable and immaculate! Absolutely excellent! The hotel is historic and I truly enjoyed looking through Teddy's books in the lobby. Rough Riders is a must stay and centrally located to events and activities. Theodore's Restaurant in the hotel is certainly stellar and convenient for any meal. You must go!

Awesome location right across the road from T. Roosevelt National Park. Our room was quiet, which is also good. The restaurant is another high point. Our server was amazing, and the food quite good. Our room was comfortable with good lighting and a spacious shower. However the linens -- towel and sheets -- are very tired and old. The bed, itself, wasn't uncomfortable, but the extremely hard pillows took away from sleep quality. There is no housekeeping and you will have to ask for clean items if you need them. Lowest point goes to service: the staff is untrained and has no idea what they are doing. We were there early in the season so perhaps they will learn, but they need to train their staff BEFORE the guests arrive, not ON the guests. The gal who checked us in didn't know how to run our credit card, and we were summoned to the lobby for a retry. The second time, the gentleman who was at the reception had never used the computer system.

Thanks for winter opening. We had a great trip to Medora in the winter on our way to Bozeman. It’s very quiet but the weather was beautiful and this hotel is well kept and just a gorgeous place to stay. I’d highly recommend the Roughriders to families or business people

Nicely updated room with granite shower, thick towels, nice bath products. Room was quiet, and bed was perfect after a long day in TR National Forest, pitchfork dinner and Medora Musical. I slept so well! In room coffee was a nice added touch, too!

A pleasant hotel that evokes western traditions. It’s a perfect place to stay if you’re visiting Theodore Roosevelt Nation Park. The lobby is like an old-fashioned library, filled with classic books. The room was comfortable and the staff friendly.

We spent a night here the second week of Oct. We visited the south and north TR parks the next day and stayed in Watford City. This is a 5 star high end hotel. Medora is a tourist town and off season and weekday made the rates fit our budget. As said this is a 5 star hotel, but our experience was especially lowered by the parking situation. The parking is located in the lot of a park ( i think ) and also used by a bar ( and I think grill ). This lot is 30-60 yards away. It does not give you any sense of security. I would ask management to correct or amend my memory in a response to the parking situation There is no microwave in the room as there is a high end restaurant on premiss that has a great menu but at resort prices.
