This is my favorite place to stay however it isn’t as fancy as the Roughriders Hotel. Especially when we bring our folks, it’s nice to drive right up to their door. Bring some chairs to sit under the awning outside in the evening as well. The views are amazing

On our trip from the Black Hills to Glacier National Park, we stayed one night at the Badlands Motel in Medora. The motel is close to the entrance of the Theodore Roosevelt National Park, which we visited in our short stay. The check-in at motel was quick and easy and the room (2 Q beds) was quiet providing a good night’s sleep. Also, the room was very clean, very up-to-date, and spacious enough for the four of us. Rooms are ground level with parking right in front of your door. We would definitely stay again, if in the area. P.S. There is morning coffee in the lobby but no breakfast.

We stayed at the Badlands motel for one evening in September. Located right outside the entrance to the south unit of the Theodore Roosevelt national park. Can’t say enough good things about this Motel. Rooms were very clean and very up-to-date. All ground level rooms and parking right in front of your door. Check on was quick and easy. Definitely stay here when you visit the NP.

We have stayed here before and over all it's a nice place but I feel it's over priced for what you get. The room was clean and comfortable but the rooms aren't the quietest. You can tell what the neighbors are doing. The beds were ok but my wife and I both agreed the pillows were awful which made for a long night, or short depending on how you look at it. For what they charge, you'd think they would provide a continental breakfast.

The room for the most part was clean and bathroom clean. towels nice. Carpet was badly stained and old, needs replacing...... Good location and pretty quiet. Would stay again if changes made! BUT, YOU NEED A NEW MATTRESS IN 422! That is your ADA room also, and the mattress is totally worn out and probably 50 years old!. Big valleys on both sides with no spring give at all, and a hill in the middle. ZERO COMFORT! Tried part of the night and ended up trying to sleep in the chair... worst ever in my many years of business travel. REDEAM YOURSELVES and BUY A NEW MATTRESS FOR THAT ROOM TODAY! Trust me, You don't have to check on it just do it! 3-4 days of guests staying in there at the prices you charge would easily pay for a new mattress! I would not write this but the person at the desk did not seem too interested in doing anything... Maybe a manager or the owner will! Watch out for this room. Would be nice to get my money back! R Schmidt. 8-20-23 {this was supposedly the last room.}

The Badlands Motel is a large one-story motel on the eastern end of Medora. You park in front of your room. The room was very nice with a comfortable king bed and a recliner. The bathroom was spacious. It only has coffee for breakfast, and it was too cool to enjoy the swimming pool. It is within walking distance to Medora shops, restaurants, and downtown. The motel had reasonable rates, and we enjoyed our two-night stay in Medora there.

Keep Driving! We arrived just before 5pm no signs of life but the lobby was open. I finally left a voice message on an old school message machine asking to check in and an hour later waiting across the highway still no one at the hotel and no call. Finally decided to drive on. He still hit our CC. The photos do not represent the current state of the hotel! Keep driving!!!!

Nicely updated with comfortable beds. There was a large walk-in shower with super hot water and thick, fluffy towels. Very clean and quiet with parking right outside our door. Pleasant front desk staff. We were nicely surprised by the room.
