I was lucky enough to get a room (No. 32) at short notice on Easter Sunday. Unfortunately, it is on the 2nd floor and that was a real challenge for me; I have difficulty walking (walker). But the effort was worth it. I got one of the rooms that have since been renovated, with its own balcony with privacy screens on the sides and a wonderful view of the lake. The bed and the new mattress measuring approx. 2x2 m were super comfortable. The power connection that I need for my breathing mask is now at the height of the bedside table, so it is easy to reach. The bathroom is small, but has everything you need; including a window and a walk-in shower. The breakfast buffet left nothing to be desired! Various types of bread, mini rolls and various mini croissants, butter, various jams, Bircher muesli, cornflakes, fresh and dried fruit, various fresh fruit juices. There is a machine for boiled eggs in which you can cook them yourself to the desired consistency. There was also a selection of different types of ham and sausage and of course the famous Dubler Mohrenköpfe. Coffee, cappuccino or tea or omelette, scrambled or fried eggs were easy to order. The service was - as always - very quick and extremely friendly and helpful. It was also nice that I, as a solo traveller, was able to have a table for myself, while there are tables for several people for families. I think I saw up to ten places. Once again I wonder why this hotel only has 3 stars! It deserves at least (!) 4!
