Hyatt Place Memphis Wolfchase Galleria

Our family stopped here while traveling home. It was close to where we were and needed to just stop for the night. Quick booking through my trip app, and the guy was nice when I was checking in. The room was okay, nothing special, honestly, which was surprising since it was a higher end hotel, but it was decent as far as cleanliness and enough beds for my family of 6. The beds are not that comfortable. The complimentary breakfast was decent, and coffee was good. Was in a good part of Memphis.

The room was absolutely clean and spacious. We really enjoyed our Honeymoon there.

Simply lovely

Honestly I was really excited about staying here, only to be disappointed. There was poop on our toilet lid when we first got to our room and the ac was also incredibly loud… there are stains all over the carpet as well. We actually canceled our reservations going back through Memphis heading home because I won’t stay there again…. Especially considering it’s double the rate going back through.

I was very disappointed with my stay at Hyatt Place Memphis/Wolfchase Galleria. I chose this hotel because I trust the Hyatt brand for its cleanliness and consistency, but this property did not meet those expectations at all. When we arrived, the first room we were given was in extremely poor condition. The carpeting was heavily stained and honestly looked scary—old, dirty, and clearly not maintained. On top of that, the thermostat didn’t work, so we couldn’t adjust the room temperature. Because of these issues, we asked to switch rooms. Unfortunately, the second room was only slightly better. While the thermostat worked, the carpet and overall cleanliness still felt below Hyatt standards. Breakfast was another disappointment. The food was cold, the presentation felt sloppy, and there were no napkins available, which is a basic necessity. It didn’t feel like the staff was putting much effort into maintaining the breakfast area or ensuring guests had what they needed. Overall, this was the worst and dirtiest Hyatt I have ever stayed at. I left feeling frustrated and surprised that this property is allowed to operate under the Hyatt name. With better housekeeping, regular maintenance checks, and more attention to guest needs, this hotel could greatly improve—but as it stands now, I would not recommend it to anyone.

We have been here several times in the past and loved it. There was a noticeable deterioration in the facilities. In addition, the staff was average but certainly not welcoming. On this trip as well as the last one, we have had problems with the bathroom. We asked to be moved and were accommodated. On the last visit, maintenance was called. Also there were holes in the blanket, coffee cups in the room were cracked and leaking and the connection to the tv was loose from the wall. There are signs at the breakfast buffet saying you have to eat in the lobby. I found this confusing and offensive—especially since we were given styrofoam plates and plastic utensils. I provided feedback and hope changes are made. As it stands, we will not return—unfortunately.
