Baymont by Wyndham Memphis East

I was given a room that reeked of cigarette smoke. I moved to another room that also smelled of cigarette smoke. The hallways also smelled. There was no hot breakfast. The room was fairly run down and could use a remodel.

Don’t stay here. You will be shocked. The hotel is under renovation. I was very tired, it was late and could not leave. I will never take the Wyndham name for granted. They should refund my money. I will never book another Wyndham.

Nastiest hotel I've ever stayed in. If we hadn't been so tired from driving 13 hours, we'd have left. The room STUNK, the a/c was noisy and barely cooled, the carpet was soggy and stained. There were stains on the bed, the sheets, the chair in the corner was covered in stains and cigarette burns (honestly, I've seen cleaner furniture at the side of the highway). There were holes in the walls and the exterior doors had signs saying you'd need a key card for re-entry, but there were NO LOCKS ON THE EXTERIOR DOORS! This is a huge safety issue, particularly since there were homeless people wandering the parking lot. There were mattresses and bathroom vanities stacked against the back of the hotel, we wondered if the place had recently flooded. We checked for bedbugs and left our luggage in the car, just in case. This place should really be condemned.

Do not stay here. Seriously. I’ve stayed in some pretty questionable places, but this one takes the cake. There was actual dried dog feces on the floor, as well as cockroaches hiding in the air conditioner, dirty bedsheets, and carpet wet with grim. We wore socks to protect our feet, then threw them away because they were black and damp with disgusting whatever-it-was. The room smelled like cigarettes and mold, and we coughed and wheezed all of the next day from breathing the filthy air. It was bad, folks. Really. Stay somewhere else.

The room smelled of bug spray. I was greeted by a roach while eating at the desk in the room. I could not get the room temperture to rise to my comfort level. The lock on the door was broken. I was constantly awakened by people coming and going because the doors slammed shut.

Trash throughout the halls, bathroom door tore up, carpet dirty. The desk person was nice but also wasn’t wearing a mask. The man that was cleaning rooms just stood there staring like he forgot what country he was in. Very dissatisfied
