The elevator that is located next to the check-in desk, and subsequently my room, is out of order and had been for over a month, according to the staff. Not suitable for people with mobility issues.
The front desk attendant Kim (?) was never at her post and when she was, she was indifferent and unpleasant.
I managed to speak with EJ in passing one morning and he approved a room change to a location closer to the elevator.
In this room, the tank cover for the toilet was cracked and a piece was broken off, as well as the only sink in the bathroom was clogged and didn’t drain properly. Still, better than the first room, where the toilet lever didn’t flush properly, the plugs under the desk and on one wall didn’t work and there weren’t two trash cans (in with room actually) to dispose of the little trash I had.
Overall, the entire stay but a damper on the reason I was even in Memphis and makes me question if I’ll ever return.
