Stunning sea views overlooking Menai Straits and Snowdonia mountain range. Centrally located in Historic Beaumaris on the beautiful isle of Anglesey. Reception and breakfast staff were excellent. Breakfasts were generous and freshly cooked. Evening staff also very good. The menus and food were delicious on the three nights we stayed. Especially the seafood and roast lamb. As it was my birthday we booked the beautiful Victoria suite room 104. Best in the hotel with a huge 3 bay window overlooking the sea. The antique style furniture was elegant and the sleigh bed accommodated my tall hubby. A beautiful oriental rug with a dainty chaise , chandelier , pretty seating and quality drapes and original shutters made the room cosy and elegant. Heating was good. Bathroom was vintage style but cracked sink was a shame. Large luxurious roll top bath. Self contained shower but shower curtain is not ideal for a modern bathroom. Plenty of towels and toiletries. In general the ambience of the hotel was traditional many lounges to choose from and relax in. Food served throughout the day. We especially appreciated the lift access to the bedrooms. Some of the decor was a little tired but new owners are refurbing as they go. Hope they don’t modernise it and spoil the traditional atmosphere and comforts. Special offers are worth a look. We had a wonderful 3 night break and would recommend the hotel.

using the emergency exit as access after the pub shut was a little difficult when it was cold, ice on steps? Car parking is difficult unless you can beat the locals to a space. Bed room radiator did not appear to work, bathroom door squeaked, outside street light shines straight into room. I only used the room from 10 pm until 6-30 am so no time to resolve any of the issues. NO Food on site but some nice places to eat nearby.

warm and welcoming very comfy bed - slept like i was in my own bed knocked a star off due to very poor wifi - needed it for work stuff - once that gets sorted easily a 5 star

Room was clean and good facilities. I couldn't get the Wifi to work at all and pub can be a bit noisy late at night which didn't bother me. Good late night access once pub is shut. Staff were great.

Staff member was friendly and showed me to the room, explained access when the pub was closed and checking out. Room was a little tired, but generally clean and bathroom was clean and modern. As it was a weekend, the pub had a band playing until midnight, which you could hear, but did not disturb me overly. Bed was comfy and I slept well. Checkout wasn't until 11am so had plenty of time in the morning.

The landlady was very friendly and the room was lovely, very nicely decorated and comfortable. The only minor issue was a broken blind in the bathroom. This is a lively pub and as it was bank holiday weekend it was particularly lively. We watched football in the pub and the locals were very friendly.

We knew it would be lively from the website and reviews, and it was which was a bonus as we like a good time(which we had in the bar on Friday night ;). When we got back to the room on Saturday night we watched movies until midnight when everything quietened down for a good nights sleep. The owners and bar staff were all very friendly and welcoming. The room was very clean with plenty of clean towels. It was nicely decorated with a fresh modern feel. A couple of extra high level windows really gave it an airy feel and let in extra light.
