A Late review. Travelled solo parent with two children aged 11&7. This was our third stay at Talayot. We were given block M right beside the reception and main walkway into the hotel. The room was exactly the same layout and standard of furnishings as the previous block we'd stayed in K. My only downside to this room was the main entry door. This really needed to be pulled towards you with strength inorder to lock. We had a comfortable stay otherwise. Being located by the main entry point to the hotel, we still had complete privacy on the terrace and perfectly undisturbed sleep. The pools were like a jacuzzi this time of year - August. We did manage to get sunbeds as and when we desired but a bit short of parasols. I just went to the nearest collection of 'saved' sunbeds and dragged the parasol over. - if your not using it, you loose it. The grounds of the hotel are clean and tidy. The staff are all approachable and friendly. The entertainment was never too busy! Which works great for us. The supermarket is directly across from the hotels main entrance. Great stock and variety. The hotel itself is central, 5 minutes walk to cala n blanes beach. 2 minutes in the opposite direction you'll realise your on the main ***** of the area. Bars, restaurants, shops and entertainment squares. There's inflatables, trampolines, arcades machines, pool tables. The waterpark 100yards up the road is small but great for kids of all ages. The bus stop to the main town, which is a completely different vibe to the hotel area, is right outside the hotel or five minutes in a taxi. I would always recommend giving this hotel a try. We've tried three hotels in this area now and value for money and proximity to amenities this hotel beats the others We'll be returning again next year.

Apartment We went self catering here. The room is a little outdated but they have put a few modern items in here, but it was fine for what we needed it for and It was very clean . The apartment was big and we had two balconies. There is a small court yard one to the side and a very large one facing the pool. On the larger balcony there are sun beds and tables and chairs, two Umbrella stands, but no umbrellas. The bedroom had two single beds, large mirror, plenty of storage for clothes, a safe in the wardrobe, that you have to pay €5 for your stay with a €5 deposit that you get back. There is air conditioning in here also. Two plug sockets , one at side of the beds. Your bedding gets changed every seven days. The bathroom is large. In here, there is a bath and shower, a hair dryer, large mirror, small bin, they provided toilet rolls, white bath and hand towels, bath mat and bottle of hand wash. The towels get changed every two days. The living room once again is very large. There is a two hob cooker top, a small plug in grill/oven , microwave, kettle, toaster, large fridge/freezer, pans, frying pans, sieve, cutlery and crockery, scissors, sharp knives, tin and bottle opener, grater, kitchen utensils, a selection of glasses and a large plastic bowl. There’s a table and chairs, two settees that changed in beds ( if needed), large TV, air conditioning (no charge), a small wooden table, mop and bucket, sweeping brush and pan and a bin. They provide washing up liquid, a pan scrubber and bin bags. Plug sockets only three. Two in a small passage next to the bathroom (we took a plug extension).one in the living room next to the main door. There are a few things that you can also pay extra for whilst you are here. Iron-€2 per day with a €10 deposit. WIFI is £5 for one device for the whole stay, with an extra €1 per device. Cot-€20 for the length of your stay with no deposit. All of the extras below need a €5 deposit. Table tennis-€2 per half hour. Crazy golf-€1.50 per half hour. Pushchair-€5 per day. Highchair-€2 per pay. Ironing board-€2 per day. Fan -€2 per day. Tennis-€5 per hour. There is a supermarket across the road, very limited on what they sell. But there is a Lidl about three miles away. Need a taxi but it’s only about €15 return. The pool areas are very clean and do have sun beds around them. We didn’t have an issue getting one but if the hotel was busier, then you wouldn’t get one. There is also a kids club on site. There is entertainment on every night. 8pm to 9pm for kids, the 9pm to 10pm ish for adults. Lots of bars/restaurants as you turn right out of the hotel.

Absolutely fantastic. Staff were so lovely and friendly. TUI kids club was amazing and my 4 kids loved it, TUI kids club staff were perfect, so friendly, kind, accommodating, caring & very attentive. Entertainment for kids was great. Bubble show was amazing too. Our hotel room was perfect for us, right at the kids pool which suited my kids really well especially my youngest who has additional needs. Talayot apartments is really safe and family friendly. Pools for the kids 10/10, multiple parks and play areas for the kids too. Going out of the hotel, there is lovely restaurants near by and a water park across the road which is wonderful, safe, clean & enjoyable at a good price too. Jimmy Hills down the road and around the corner was amazing for the kids too and also the adults, it has everything you need there for a couple holiday or a family holiday, very family orientated , has soft play and bouncy castles etc in most pubs/restaraunts. The whole area is very safe & family oriented. I will 100% be returning to Talayot apartments every year.

This was our first time in Menorca and it certainly won't be our last! We arrived at talayot apartments & we asked for T block or somewhere similar that is quiet as although we are a family of 3 (2 adults & 1 child) we prefer a view from the balcony & our daughter of nearly 9 is quite chilled & doesn't run riot and this block for us worked so well it was quiet but had all the amenities of the apartments just over the road. The apartment room we stayed at was T31 it was roomy but very basic however this didn't bother us much as the room is a base. The bathrooms are the most outdated and the shower very much hot&cold fluctuating but it didn't put us off. The rest of the room clean enough although we did feel could of had a little more time spent in cleaning & the bathroom never seemed to be touched which was a little disappointing. The pools & facilities in general we couldn't fault at all plenty of pools to choose from & plenty of sunbeds however we only had one full day at the pool the rest of the days we was out and finished the day at the pools for a couple of hours. Only had lunch from the snack bar once & was good value for money, we didn't eat in evenings there as we ventured out every night. Would recommend la ancora, masalla and frankies. Bus ride to ciutadella quarter past the hour from outside the apartments have beautiful fresh fish restaurants well worth a visit! The zoo too a fantastic trip we all enjoyed and booked through tui. The evening entertainment we wasn't expecting given the time of year we came but there was something every evening from bingo at 10 euros, music quizzes, kids discos, bands and karaoke we couldn't complain at all! Kids club also fantastic our 9 Yr old really enjoyed. Cala n blanes beach is brilliant for kids and worth a good explore around the edges of the rocks and also some steps past sa cova which at the top of there brings beautiful views! Lobster paella a must too. We will return have had holiday blues since we returned home. Just a note don't expect the ritz after all these aren't 5star apartments! For kids and families it's fantastic our daughter has been asking if we can go again since we got home in Wednesday! Menorca is beautiful with lots of character so enjoy! 😊

The resort was ok, the restaurant was very good in terms of food but... The apartment was very dated, the Aircon didn't work meaning we all had trouble sleeping in a room that was 30 degrees plus at night. The pools were pretty good. We were in the quieter side across the road from the main resort. I say quieter but quite often someone around the pool would have a Bluetooth speaker blasting out music no one wanted to hear. However, the big issue for me was I had a set of really good Sony noise cancelling headphones stolen from our room. I know they were taken as I had them on the bedside table all week and did not take them out of the apartment. Like other reviews here have stated, things are regularly stolen out of apartments. I'd say avoid this place at all costs.

I have stayed here on 3 occasions now and every time it has been brilliant, this time in particular, the staff are very friendly and helpful it is an extremely nice complex.Bar and restaurant prices are very competitive,I agree with some of the other reviews about some of the apartments looking a bit tired and dated and in need of upgrades but overall we have always found them extremely adequate for all our needs.Calan forcat is a great resort plenty of nice restaurants and entertainment especially in bar 61 and jimmy’s bar.
