I visited the spa with my sister for a birthday treat. I had the 8:30 appt for a signature massage. The therapist gave the usual caveat to just tell them if the pressure needed adjustment. I did that to start with my back , if she could lighten up a bit, she accommodated with less pressure. Then for my arms I received a “ one hand “ massage. The kind a friend gives half heartedly. I then asked her for a little more pressure. She was starting to make an audible huff! Moving on to next area. She put a warm towel under my neck, which I refolded for my comfort. ( no big deal, I didn’t say anything about it). She moved onto my feet, and when I asked her to go a little bit lighter , she became visibly upset and said that this is a fifth time I had asked for an adjustment and since she can’t seem to please me that she would go get the manager. I told her that wasn’t necessary and to just to keep going, but she insisted. It was a very awkward interaction. I would highly recommend that Trudy is not your first choice.
