Best Hotels in Merate, Italy

I expected from the photos much more than this. The hotel is nice and quiet, the mattress quite comfortable but ... The rooms are definitely dated, with antique pieces like the phone (which after a few minutes is overheated and can no longer be used without risking a burning..), the The coating and the tape, or the shower, the anti-slip plate and the sofa in the shower. Prepare to sleep little and almost naked, so it is warm and this season (there is no air conditioning) And when we opened the window we were invaded by the ants, so we had to close it; the cleaning was quite approximate, so that I had to change my son's shoes after I allowed him to walk without a shoe. No bad breakfast, the only negative aspect was the white bread that could be quietly from the day before, but the rest I would say appreciable. Unfortunately, they do not know the original recipes of some dishes like the ears at the rape tops, which they have revised in their way, but good even if a little expensive ... I think if we should come back here, we won't eat here.

Very close to the box, comfortable parking, excellent reception service, clean spacious room, large bathroom, comfortable beds, well-provided breakfast buffet and variety. I suggest to cleaning staff to lower the volume of the morning voice to not disturb guests' rest

Very convenient place, just at the expressway, with plenty of parking spaces, next to the shopping center, but there is no direct subway to the center of Milan nearby, and it is also very close to the center of Monza.

There's not enough good words that can be said about the skills and training of the front desk staff, the breakfast servers, the evening dining room staff, and the housekeeping ladies. I am what is now being referred to as a ”Digital Nomad,” single, solo and senior traveler... and this hotel really fits my needs. Sure it could be €10 cheaper, but the room has an excellent long work countertop, WiFi Internet, large bed for sleep and for organizing travel bags, bathroom with both a tub and a walk-in shower correctly designed for use, and the food service is quite amazing. While you do need to take the taxi to most places, unless you drive, there is a major shopping mall just across the highway, and an unadvertised underground tunnel to get to the other side of the road and to that shopping center! I am not a fancy restaurant person, but the restaurant accommodates me with a very simple selection of food by my request. Both at breakfast and at dinner, the dining room is usually packed with happy diners and eaters. While I sit there with my simple food selection at dinner, I do admire the variety of Italian dishes that are ordered by other diners. Maybe I can't eat the spicy food but it sure looks good! And the other guests are very happy! I have used the Hotel's driver to taxi me to and from a variety of locations: BGY airport, Bergamo train Station, as well as the Covid vaccination center! He can be booked by SMS text and WhatsApp. Extremely easy to communicate with- both digitally and in multiple languages. The hotel is off the beaten track, therefore the taxi rides are going to be 10 additional euro from what might be expected in more urban areas. This is one of my more favorite hotels of any brand. While I rate the location as poor because you need to drive to get almost anywhere, the remoteness of the location is in itself a plus if you are residing here for more than just an overnight, because the landscaping is simple yet comforting, and major parking is underground.

I was here for a night stop over on my way to east Italy and I will definitely come back. I've checked in late (9pm) and the receptonist (Davide) welcomed me. This guy is always smiling and is very open for nice talks. He gave me also very good advices for places to visit and where to go for shopping. If I had any question about the hotel or anything else he was totally open to help with 100%. I am very satisfied! Also the staff in the morning at the breakfast was very very kind and helpful. Hotel is located just out of highway near a big shopping area where you can find many restaurants and shops. Fast check in and check out thanks to very efficient staff. Good breakfast with lot of choice, wifi is working well. Rooms are clean, acceptable size, quite silent. But far from being a 4 stars hotel, to me it worth no more than 3 due to missing of many amenities, fridge, closed wardrobe, slippers, complimentary water, etc. Good for 1-2 nights if you have a car ( no public transportation around) and location is convenient.

The hotel’s price/performance ratio is relatively high, which is not a choice for travelers who enjoy the hotel. The room smells of an old house, not a bad smell. Passengers who are not sensitive to taste can ignore it. The location of the hotel itself is okay, there is no close commercial area, but the city is very small and it is easy to reach the commercial area. In addition, when you take a taxi or drive to find a hotel, drive slowly, it is not particularly obvious that you can find it.

The service and facilities were good, but at breakfast I would say very little with very few choices, moreover the tents in the rooms make too much light come into the early morning lights.
