We used our VI points to stay 4 nights at Westgate Painted Mountain Resort. Our 2 bedroom unit was nicely remodeled and included a full kitchen, dining table and chairs, living room with sofa bed, stackable washer/dryer unit. We had a nice 1 bedroom with a master bath along with a 1 bedroom lock-off unit that was attached. Plenty of room for 4-6 people. Great air conditioning and ceiling fans too. This is a great location in Mesa that has a Safeway nearby for groceries, a Chili's restaurant and a Waffle House. It's easy to hop on the freeway to get to PHX or anywhere you need to get to. The pool is great too! We loved the extra touch with pool towels on each chair. The lobby has a mini store if you need snacks. Staff were friendly and helpful. We would definitely stay again!

Property is very well maintained and clean. Lots of activities for kids & pet friendly with $150 up charge. The one bedroom unit was spacious, king bed comfortable and clean. The resort is close to shopping & entertainment.

We recently stayed at the Westgate Painted Mountain Resort from Friday, 12/5 through 12/12. We made our reservation through Interval International and received our confirmation previously in January 2025. When we arrived at the resort, the resort staff did not see our reservation. They told us we were on our own and needed to take up our concern with Interval International. Interval International said everything was done correctly and asked for an email or fax number for the resort and they would send over the confirmation again. The front desk would not accept information from Interval International through an email or fax. I found a manager who talked to the Interval International representative and said he would take care of it and make sure we got a room. When we did finally get a room, I was really disappointed with the quality of the furnishings. The cabinets were covered with a woodgrain vinyl adhesive covering that was peeling off. The chairs were cracking and splitting, showing the foam inside. The furniture was old and dirty looking. I attempted to take a whirlpool bath in my room. After filling the tub, the whirlpool didn't work. I let people know we were not satisfied. They apologized but no one came by to check our room or offer us better accommodations. The worst part was that there were bugs (roaches) in the bathroom, kitchen and living room. I complained and they exterminated but the bugs continued every day. With every complaint I made and every problem we encountered, the staff apologized but no one ever offered us a better room. No one ever offered anything to even try to compensate us for the poor experience and unacceptable accommodations. The day before we check out, while using the grill (for the 3rd time) and talking to another person staying here, we found out that grill equipment was available from the front desk. We were not told this and we never received any explanation of what was available at the resort. There no events or activities. We are very disappointed with the quality of the accommodations. This was a total waste of the time and cost involved. It was embarrassing and was both hurtful and harmful to us.

This place is dirty. Do not recommend. The bathroom was terribly dirty. See pics—thats how the whole bathroom was. Imagine how dirty other stuff might be— the things where you dont see the germs (sheets, counters, etc).

We recently stayed at Painted Mountain and had a bit of a mixed experience. The property itself is very clean and well-maintained. There are quite a few things to do, and we especially enjoyed the pool area. The smaller hot tub near the pool was nice and relaxing, and the fire pit area was clean, comfortable, and a great place to spend time. Honestly, those spaces really saved the trip for us. That said, there were some downsides. The larger jacuzzi wasn’t warm at all, and the pool was a bit cloudy, which made it seem like the chemicals might have been off. Our biggest issue was the room. It was very small, and the photos online were misleading. We had ordered groceries thinking we’d have space, but there was really nowhere to store them. There was no couch or comfortable place to relax, which meant we spent most of our time outside instead of in the room. The walls were also extremely thin — we could clearly hear our neighbors’ conversations. Another drawback is that there’s no real food service on-site, just a few basic snacks. It looks like they may have offered breakfast at one point, and honestly, even a simple continental breakfast would make a big difference. I would absolutely pay a little more per night for that option. Overall, the property feels more like a nicer version of a Motel 6 than a full resort experience. We would consider staying again if the price was low, but next time we would definitely book a larger suite instead of a standard room.

ROACHES!!!! Despite how this hotel looks it is not a nice resort. We had roaches in our first room and they did not do anything about it for 2 days. they finally moved us to another room where the walls were so thin we were woken up every morning before 6 am by our neighbors. Avoid this hotel at all cost and stay in one of the similarly priced other hotels. Honestly if it hadn't been spring training and hotels were limited I would have checked out immediately. Do yourself a favor and avoid

I just wanted to take a moment to share my deep appreciation for the truly wonderful week-long stay I had at your resort. From the moment I arrived, I was welcomed with warmth and professionalism, starting with Esteban at check-in, to crafts with Serena, engaging conversations with the Westgate team throughout the week, and finally check-out with George. Each interaction left a positive impression and added to the overall comfort of the stay. I'll admit, I arrived wondering what I would do for an entire week, but any doubts quickly disappeared. The introductory tour set the tone perfectly. The room was immaculate and well-appointed, and the resort’s location couldn't have been more ideal. My friend and I were able to fully unwind, whether it was participating in the daily workout sessions, spending time by the pool, strolling to nearby establishments, or simply soaking in the peaceful atmosphere of the resort. One of the most refreshing aspects of the experience was how relaxed and uncrowded the resort felt, it was just right. It allowed us to enjoy everything without feeling overwhelmed or rushed. It was exactly the kind of getaway we both needed. A huge thank you to everyone who played a role in making our stay so memorable. The daily notifications were a nice touch and kept us informed without being intrusive. Most of all, I want to give a big shoutout to the manager and the entire front desk staff, your dedication, friendliness, and attention to detail truly made all the difference. This stay was, without a doubt, one of the best vacation experiences I’ve had, and it’s thanks to the incredible people who made it so. I’ll absolutely be recommending Westgate Mesa to friends and family and I’m already looking forward to returning.

The rooms are very basic and in need of upgrades. There is no sound proofing between rooms and we could hear every word, cough, sneeze of the people next door. The rooms are way over priced, not a good choice. I would not recommend it.

Tub was not clean and shower had a leak that soaked the floors. Very rundown rooms. Some do the cardio machines in the gym were not even plugged in so could not use. Staff was super friendly.
