The resort was lovely and the rooms were clean and comfortable. The breakfast was hearty and tasty. The staff was helpful and kind. It really was a lovely stay and I would recommend it wholeheartedly.

I am currently staying at Itobo on a visit to some of our soapstone artisans in Tabaka. Itibo is situated between Kisii and Tabaka so is perfect. The grounds are very well tended and green. The a**osphere is very peaceful. I am travelling solo and I feel safe and secure here. The staff are all very helpful and friendly and the room is perfect. Spotlessly clean, comfortable bed, hot shower... I could not ask for more. I have to leave a day early and I am sorry to be leaving this very peaceful oasis.

After staying in another hotel on several visits to Kisii, we found Itibo Resort and decided to stay here this time. It was head perfect for our stay and we’ll be staying here from now on. Facilities are great, staff is pleasant, and the food was incredible. Nothing but good things to say about Itibo.

Allereerst: het zijn zeer vriendelijke en bereidwillige mensen. De eigenaresse gaat bij het avondeten voor in gebeld en loopt met je mee naar het ernaast gelegen schooltje ( leuk om te bezoeken en....neem wat dollars mee want het is daar armoe troef). Maar het complex ligt erg afgelegen er is weinig te doen ( bezoek de gelieerde mini bananenplantage !). Het leeg wat desloaat en we waren de enige aanwezigen. Kamers zijn simpel met eenvoudige douche en toilet voorziening ( één handdoek en een zeepje, geen glas )

Itibo is a treasure in Kisii. During our 4 days here, many rooms, over 10 people on our team, the compliments about the dynamic a**osphere, the savory food, and the great accommodations abound! Rooms clean & secure, beds comfortable, rooms had hit water and some of them a included fans. Cleaning was done daily as well as re-stocking, and the staff was so incredibly accommodating and helpful with organizing quick meals and early breakfast due to leaving the resort earlier than normal for a conference we were hosting. We had a different number of people on the team each night, so different beds, needs, etc; it would have been a challenge for anyone, but at the end, the accounting was accurate! They offered to wash clothes, and carry out additional duties to assist us. It was just a wonderful experience. The owner, Mr. Ruben, even took time to greet us personally, with a very kind and gentle demeanor which made all feel very welcome.
