A somewhat disappointing dinner! Reading the official website of the Villa and the description indicated 4 Star Superior and a restaurant with a starred signature, I expected much more! The entrance to the restaurant was not very clear and fortunately we found a waitress in the living room of the villa who showed us the right way!! Once we arrived in the frescoed hall for dinner, our eyes were lost in the wonder of the walls which exuded historicity and beauty, sinned only by the interruption here and there of withered floral bouquets which instead spoke of a bygone event! When ordering, after a welcome glass we asked if we could continue with a glass of white but without a choice we were served the only open wine, a Chardonnay which was later revealed at the table as Soave! Continuing with the order we ask for some clarification on the flavors of the dishes but there too little clarity. Dinner begins and we only get generous portions but without a starred signature but very homemade with flows of balsamic vinegar covering a tepidly cold duck!! Having informed the waitress about the not very hot duck, we received a very nice response given the joking a**osphere of the Venice carnival, who jokingly replied that she was going to pull the chef's ears!!! And not to end up after asking if they could kindly put a candle in the cake, we receive the contemporary DNA of the company, i.e. hybridization!!! The base of the blue candle and the white candle want to tell us about a past birthday/wedding! It's a shame because the villa has very nice spaces but the service/food is forgettable and not starred!!
