Had a lot of charm and was very conveniently positioned to access both airport and Venice via public transport. Great breakfast option, not sure why they wanted city tax in cash though?

It takes 15 mins or more to walk to the hotel from the Mestre station and it’s not so safe at night, but the staff are really nice and they provide a wonderful price for the accommodation.

Mestre Centro
Pros: 1. Excellent location - close to bus/tram stop to Venice, 3 minutes walk (tickets can be bought at the hotel reception). Also around a lot of cafes, convenient. 2. The rooms are pleasant, there is a refrigerator, air conditioning 3. The hotel is small, it was quiet Cons are not critical, but still: 1. There are no screens on the windows, we were bitten by mosquitoes 2. The air conditioner is very old and noisy, even at minimum power. But we slept with him, we got very tired during the day in Venice) 3. The shower door does not close completely 4. We missed a kettle in the room

Mestre Centro
We stayed at this property for one night and it was an experience not to be repeated. I would like to point out that the structure requires communication of the arrival time because, not being a hotel, the reception opens only by appointment. We therefore communicated the arrival time but the structure, via message and with little courtesy, took us back, considering it 'approximate'. I would like to point out that we traveled by car and were dependent on the ever-changing traffic conditions. It was impossible to communicate the arrival time to the second. We tried to be as precise as possible, communicating the exact time as indicated by the navigator, only to be left waiting for 15 minutes under the sun and at 35 degrees. The room is nice and clean but the bathroom, in addition to not having a bidet, had one side of the shower cubicle attached only from the top, making it very dangerous. And let's get to breakfast. The structure does not have its own room but an agreement with the bar located a few meters away which should serve breakfast from 8.30 to 10.30 and which consists of a coffee or cappuccino, a croissant and a fruit juice each. We arrived at 10.15 and the bar didn't have enough croissants for everyone and we had to fall back on a biscuit. The fruit juice then turned out to be a juice of an unknown brand, contained in an open one-litre container and kept outside the fridge, despite the intense heat. In essence, we paid for a breakfast that we partially consumed and of very poor quality. It is clear that the structure and the partner bar do not have any form of communication between them. We definitely won't be back.

Mestre Centro
We are super happy to have chosen this hotel. I had never stayed outside the island and I was a bit worried but the reality is that in 20 minutes you are there and the bus ticket costs €1.50 as in almost any city. I'm quite a manic person but I think the hotel's cleanliness was excellent, although if they changed some things like the shower screen the image would improve a lot. Breakfast of normal quality but for the price it seems to us that it would be very difficult to find another hotel of this balance. The area is fine, it is true that it seems a somewhat dead place but it does not give a bad feeling or insecurity. The staff was very friendly at all times, they let me check-in many hours before and I was able to rest in the room quietly. I recommend :)
