The Marriott website did not allow me to select a wheelchair-accessible room. I added the type of room I needed to the notes, and it said "not guaranteed." This is ridiculous! I called the front desk twice to make sure that I would be able to get a wheelchair-accessible room with a bathtub, and they said I would. When I arrived, they said they didn't have a wheelchair-accessible room with a bathtub available. (This sh*t honestly makes me want to only stay at hotels that give the option on their websites of reserving the kind of room you need, like Hilton. Accessibility is not an "amenity"!) I ended up staying in a non-accessible room with a bathtub, which mostly was okay. I did get my wheelchair wedged between the toilet and the wall for a scary few minutes. Ugh. Other than the accessibility issue, this hotel seems to have gone downhill a bit since I stayed there. There were so many gross mystery stains. Thankfully, I brought Clorox wipes to clean the bathroom! I don't think I should have to clean the room when I arrive when they charge as much as they do. Gross black chunks came out of the faucet in the bathtub. Thankfully, this only happened the first time I ran water. I like the kitchenette aspect of the suites and the fact that there wasn't a room above me a lot. It's a quiet area. This hotel is close to many restaurants and grocery stores, which is very convenient if you have a rental car. It's about a 15 minute drive to the French Quarter without traffic. The front desk staff was very friendly.
