Beautiful bed and breakfast. Small rooms but more than enough for what we needed which was a 2 night stay. Hosts were amazing,so friendly and nothing was to much trouble. Breakfast was freshly cooked and was delicious. Home made jam too. All roo.s have a front door from outside and beautiful gardens around. Only downside there is no pub or restaurant in the village so had to go into Harleston (approx 4 miles) to get food and drink. Woukd most definitely come back.

I received a very warm and friendly welcome from Karen and Nick. It was as if I had known them for years. Home made cakes in the room each day, tea and coffee. I also liked that I had been supplied with sufficient toilet rolls and didn't have to ask for more. Bed was comfy and I got a good sleep. Food was home cooked and generous. Karen makes lovely jams. Would highly recommend and would stay again.

Karen and Nick are some of the nicest people I have ever met! Myself and my daughter (2 years old) stayed at The Duke William for 2 nights, from arriving to leaving service was first class. A lovely chat upon arrival with a genuine interest in my stay and recommendations on where to eat and a park nearby to entertain my little one. Room was spacious, clean and had a fantastic bed ! Tea, coffee, sugar, milk, kettle and a daily surprise of cakes! My daughter enjoyed the cakes it was a very nice touch. Breakfast was yummy, and do try the jam it is the best I have ever had. The Duke William is in a quite village but Harleston is nearby with shops, resturants and pubs are roughly a 15 minute drive away (if you dont get lost) Will definitely be returning, there is so much to explore and Karen and Nick offer a fantastic place to rest and unwind. Thank you for your hospitality we really enjoyed our stay.

Great stay with Nick and Karen ,what a friendly couple . Room was spotless and so cool despite the heat outside .We were here 2 nights and enjoyed Karens homemade cakes ,jams and marmalades . Nick was very welcoming on our arrival . Nice to have our own front door to come and go as we pleased . We will certainly return next time we are in the area.

Beautiful rural spot from which to explore the idyllic Suffolk villages, towns, beaches and nature reserves that surround it. Nick and Karen very warm hosts who made us feel very welcome. Delicious cooked breakfasts followed by relaxed chats in which we were given a lot of useful advice about where to visit. As others have noted, rooms spotless, everything you need including a comfy bed. Homemade chocolate cake on the table when we arrived, and flapjacks the next day. Nice touch. Would heartily recommend. My personal highlights: visiting the Red House, home of Benjamin Britten and Peter Pears in Aldeburgh, and the unbelievably peaceful bird hide at Covehithe beach. Too many other great places to discover in just a 2 day stay.

The room was clean and tidy, separate entrance, high ceiling. Lovely welcome from Karen and Nick with biscuits and teas and coffees. Karen kindly cooked an evening meal for us which was delicious. A good night.

Recently had a delightful stay at the Duke William. Karen and Nick made us very welcome. The room was spotless with a lovely view of the garden and the many birds that visit. Delicious breakfast cooked to order and a home made jam menu. We also had an excellent roast dinner the one evening we chose to dine in. Plus complimentary afternoon cakes. What more could you want? I’d definitely like to visit again.

We had a 3 night stay at the Duke William. Could not fault the rooms, breakfast or welcome. Would definitely recommend. Rooms thoughtfully fitted out, delicious freshly cooked breakfast, homemade goodies in our room to welcome us back after a day out. Nick and Karen the perfect hosts. We certainly hope to return.
