The Mews Hotel

The pub had a lovely local pub atmosphere. The twin room was adequate. The temperature was nice, and the bathroom and towels were clean. Mattresses weren't the most comfortable, and the tea/coffee provision was very minimalist. It was OK with continental breakfast included. I think it's probably worth £75 - £80 rather than the £94.50 charged

Great service and hospitality as usual. Food was fantastic and of great quality. If I'm being overly picky the pillows were not for me. But i am sure if i mentioned it to the team they would have changed them. If that is all I can comment on, then they have achieved a pretty high standard.

Really friendly hotel with pub attached with fiid available

I stayed two nights and it was a shockingly bad stay. My single room was extremely compact with very thin walls. There's no proper sound insulation for Room 14. Much, much worse was the plumbing system. The tiny cubicle bathroom (which is a window-less closet) had a toilet and small shower. After having a shower and flushing the toilet, the sewage system backed up, and leaked through the shower plughole. The shower tray was filled with raw sewage, inches deep. Unfortunately, I had booked another night's stay, and had commitments all that day. It would have been very difficult to find alternative accommodation at such short notice. The hotel called a plumber, who fixed the problem. But I couldn't risk having a shower or flushing the toilet, in case the same thing happened. That would have meant sleeping in a tiny room with the stench of raw sewage. To my mind, that calls for a partial refund. But the hotel have refused any compensation.

Excellent place to visit and stay. Booked a night so we could attend a local wedding. Atmosphere really nice location great, food was really nice service 10/10. Rooms clean and comfortable all staff very helpful 100% recommend. Breakfast just perfect

Great stay as usual, the rooms are very comfortable which ensure a good nights sleep. The ambience of the hotel is of a lovely country hotel although it is on the outskirts of Wakefield (Ossett). Great menu which good choice of meals which are always perfect. Lovely cosy hotel and very clean. Looking forward to revisiting in a couple of months. Thank you

Truly excellent food. The menu was absolutely outstanding. Would therefore recommend booking beforehand Great pub atmosphere and very friendly staff. Standard double room was clean and adequate with decent pod coffee machine and facilities.

Ii have now stayed here a few times, the food is wholesome and good with a nice evening atmosphere, this is a well managed smaller place to stay. The Mews is run by a small friendly team and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend it. In a good location for Warrington.
