Chateau de Citeaux la Cueillette

The experience was excellent. All the waiters were very patient and enthusiastic. I booked a regular room and the front desk uncle upgraded it to the best room with a large terrace.

Booked this hotel because of the beautiful surroundings and the beautiful photos on the hotel website. And indeed the surroundings are beautiful, the hotel is located among the vineyards. The hotel is old and run down, the rooms are extremely dirty and old. If you want to take a shower you first have to climb into a bathtub. One small sink with paper cups. The toilet stinks of urine. The windows in the room cannot be opened because they are painted closed and the air conditioning is defective. The floor is laminate and is broken everywhere and has dust and dirt in the corners. The bed was full of holes and was horrible to sleep in. At midnight we woke up with a start when the fire alarm went off, everyone panicked in the corridors for 5 minutes, but no one came, eventually it went off and everyone went back to their room. The next morning we heard that something was going on in the kitchen. No one from the hotel apologized or told us what had happened, we heard it from the cleaning lady. We had made a reservation in the bistro. House music in a classic French bistro ???? The food was terrible, there was no menu but a set menu with a starter, a main course and a dessert. Main course was a chicken leg with additional fries. The chicken leg was rotten and could not be removed from the offer. Several people around us also sent the chicken leg back just like us. The waiter, an old man who didn't feel like it anymore, threw the plates on the table without emotion. The swimming pool is very dirty with brown edges. The sunbeds outside are green with algae and broken, just like the garden furniture outside. I feel so ripped off, there are beautiful photos on the website, but they are from 10 to 20 years ago. 1 room for 2 people with breakfast 385 euros It is really scandalous.

Dinner at the restaurant, night, breakfast and spa. The sommelier is exceptional in his kindness and advice. The room and bed are a little small but the terrace is splendid. The dinner is interesting but a little expensive compared to other starred restaurants. The breakfast is not crazy, very classic. The fruit therapy treatment is original, but the air conditioning in the cabin is too cool, making it difficult to relax

A wonderful stay in a beautiful place! The gourmet restaurant with the delicate and inventive cuisine of chef Takashi Kino****a is incredible and the wine tasted was really well recommended to us by the sommelier. The historic setting of the dining room is sumptuous. I would like to mention the kindness and professionalism of the teams whatever the department: reception, service in the two restaurants, fruit therapy spa (excellent treatment with discreet and attentive Cinnamon). The standard room is a little small with only one sink in the bathroom but the view of the vineyards is so pleasant…the breakfast is varied and very fresh with local products. We will come back and recommend La Cueillette!

La Cueillette, a fabulous restaurant under the mastery of the Japanese chef. Fine and complex cuisine which preserves the flavor of the product. Very good service with excellent service. All the staff are at the top... worth the trip! Comfortable rooms with views of the vineyards
