Hotel MX mas roma CDMX, Trademark Collection by Wyndham

Mixed feelings about the overall stay here. Overall, the facilities were modern and clean, and there were no issues with the room apart from the showerhead (extremely poor water pressure and extremely overused to the point where it could've been replaced). In hindsight, I should have brought this to the attention of hotel staff so we could be moved to a different room, but we just learnt to live with it. Also, I thought it was a concerning that reception wasn't willing to make an effort to check us in at a more suitable, earlier time. For reference, my partner arrived at the hotel around 4.50am on a red eye flight. I had previously emailed hotel management to request early check-in, and was told it was possible if I paid an upfront $70 fee and there were available rooms. Upon arrival, there were no rooms available, but I requested reception to advise me when a room would soon be available so we could freshen up and step out. I was told repeatedly that a room would only be available at 3pm, even though I asked if it was possible that as soon as someone checked out, and the room was cleaned, if we could be checked into the earliest available room. The lack of English speaking skills of the reception staff made this tricky, and I've never had issues with other hotels being amenable to my requests.
