Iberostar Waves Miami Beach

My husband and I had a lovely stay at the Iberostar Waves. The staff was so friendly. The room was spotless and comfortable. The towels and bath products were great. The rooftop pool was beautiful and had a great 365 degree view. The chairs and towels at the beach were great, just know an umbrella will cost you $28. The location was wonderful, as it is walkable to the beach and restaurants. The only reason I didn’t give this hotel five stars is because we had a room that adjoined with another and we could hear the people next door coughing, talking, and watching tv.

Good stay, with comfy room and bed. The restaurant offers nice food for breakfast and dinner. The rooftop pool has nice loungers and is clean. You can rent bikes outside the hotel. The hotel offers tea/coffee in the room but no milk - when we asked for milk it was $7 which felt steep.

This was one of the worst hotel experiences I have ever had. We arrived at the hotel around midnight with a small baby after making a prepaid reservation approximately two hours earlier through a third-party booking site. When I provided my reservation information and proof of booking, the front desk agent claimed she could not find the reservation. Instead of trying to investigate or contact support, she immediately suggested making a completely new reservation and paying again, then told me to seek a refund from the third-party company myself. I requested a written statement confirming that the hotel could not locate my reservation so I could provide evidence to the booking company. She refused to provide anything in writing and questioned why I wanted documentation at all. We were then told to sit and wait, but no updates were provided. After waiting for over 30 minutes with a baby late at night, the agent still had no solution, gave no timeline, showed no empathy, and made no meaningful effort to help us. Eventually she told us to leave and find another hotel. She even threatened to call the police if we did not leave immediately. What makes this even worse is that we booked another hotel nearby through the same booking platform. The reservation did not appear immediately there either, but the staff politely asked us to wait about 10 minutes. Within 15 minutes the reservation appeared in their system and we checked in without any issues. This proves the problem could have been handled professionally with a little patience and customer service. Instead, we were treated with hostility, dismissed, and left stranded at midnight with a baby. I understand that reservation systems can have delays. What is unacceptable is the complete lack of professionalism, empathy, communication, and willingness to help. I would strongly advise families, especially those traveling with children, to stay elsewhere.

Reception and hospitality was wonderful. Very helpful. Rooms are cozy. Pool on the rooftop was cool.

Excellent location and walking distance to attractions. The staff Piero, Nixon and the rest of the staff were AWESOME.

We had great experiences on our stayed . Victor the receptionist was very kind and easy going. Location and ambience of the Hotel was excellent. Good enough if you have to budget your trip.

I spent 5 days at his hotel with my family and it was a very nice experience. All the people there are very kind and useful especially Paulo who helped us a lot along our trip. The breakfast was also very nice.

We stayed for only one night at this hotel, which we chose based on the positive reviews. I’m sorry to say that this was one of my worst hotel stays ever. It was a little strange that the bathroom had no door, but I was able to manage that. The air conditioner in the room, however, was so noisy that it kept waking me up. Like trying to sleep next to a freight train. I spent an hour tossing and turning, finally fell asleep, and then was awakened by the noise again five minutes later. In the morning, I woke up with a splitting headache and in a very bad mood. Unfortunately, I will most likely not be staying at this place again.
