SpringHill Suites Miami Downtown/Medical Center

Very very disappointed in trip.com and the hotel. Paid for this day as part of a business trip. The business trip got delayed by two days, and trip.com or this hotel would not switch the night for me. They would not change the reservation to two days later, but instead charge me for the whole day even though I wasn’t gonna be there. And it’s not like I did this at the last minute. I tried to change it well before 48 hours of the reservation and they just straight up said no we’re not changing the date and we’re not giving you a refund. Who does business like that I won’t use either of these places again.

Good location breakfast is great

Neat and clean accomodation for 2 nights. A bit dated and can use new carpeting. Rooms can us a touch up. Breakfast was a well rounded offering. Waffles were a hit. Oatmeal bar with all the fixings and a hot coffee bar! Nice courtyard area with a couple of tables. Good to catch up on work or breakfast. Wifi was good. We didn't take advantage of the corn hole, yoga, gym and small dipping pool. Free welcome drinks at the bar, but beer was not available. Bartender was friendly. Malik at the front desk was awesome. Super friendly and attentive. Assisted with getting our complimentary Tesla to Wynwood for dinner. Greeted us every opportunity and always had a smile on his face. What a great attitude! Location wasn't great, but served our purpose for the stay. Near all healthcare and easy for visiting physicians and patients getting treatments. Good stay. Malik was a star! Every hotel needs a Malik!

It took 45 minutes for the shuttle to come. Had they been realistic (they said a few minutes) about the time, I would have taken Uber. Hotel is not up to Spring Hill Suites standards. It was okay but that's all. Clean. You could definitely hear the people in the neighboring room, and I don't think it was just through the connecting door, but maybe it was. Not a particularly good location. I felt safe. I don't think there is anything to do if you don't have a car. I would only stay here as an overnight at the airport. And eat before you get there. Low service rating due to shuttle. Front desk okay, slow but a lot of people were checking in at the same time. Low sleep quality due to noise from other rooms. Value I don't really know as it was part of a tour.

Stayed at the Springhill Suites Miami/Downtown Medical Center as part of a visit to a Miami Marlins game at Loan Depot Park. Since it was just a little more than a mile from the stadium, we thought it was a good choice. It turns out that the people at the hotel did not recommend walking as a particularly safe option, removing its primary redeeming quality. Positives: • Strong shower pressure. • Separate room for toilet and shower • Decent breakfast offering The hotel itself was satisfactory, though pretty dated. The front desk staff was satisfactorily cordial. The room itself was dimly lit overall. There is nowhere to eat within walking distance of the hotel, for which you are already paying $36 to park, meaning you’re going to be paying an additional fee to park somewhere else. The hotel offers a discount at their restaurant/bar. The restaurant/bar, which gave off more of a lobby vibe than either of the aforementioned. The tables were not clean, and the lone server was curt to the point of rude – though, in fairness, he didn’t cross that line. Less than half of the options on the menu were unavailable, and the server made clear that there was NO tomato available whatsoever. All in all, this was not a pleasant stay. Nothing especially wrong with the place – just not much right with it.

The facilities were a 5 but had issue with post checkout charge for parking. Didn’t have a car. Customer service to get this fixed was poor. Was not even asked at check in if I had a car.
